Can you tell us if Dalish face tattoos will be available for character creation in DAI? (I know, I worry about weird stuff)

If you play an elf, absolutely.

It is interesting that they're going to separate tattoos by race now, and like you say, it makes sense... Now I'm curious to see what a "human" tattoo will be like.

Yeah, I agree. Why would a human (generally-speaking) have Dalish tattoos? It would be hideously appropriative.

No it doesn't. If the player can think of a good reason why his Qunari Inquisitor has Dalish tattoos, or of the player has a specific tattoo idea in mind, and the one in-game that comes closest is Dalish (or Dwarven, or whatever), why not let him?

This may be assuming that tats are not the same designs. Believe it may have to do more with sizing tats to varied racial faces and bodies rather than differing designs. Will have to see before passing judgment.

Given modern technology, they should let us resize and rotate and place the tattoos ourselves. And not restrict them by race.

That's why people shouldn't fully plan out characters until all the details are known or till the Game Comes out

Oh? Was not aware that this was not included, or that they had failed to ask permission. These kinds of prejudicial posts do not seem to be helpful.

And if it relies on modern Tech, many like myself may be unable to use it.

I wasn't questioning if one should like it or not, and I apologize if it came off that way. I was just saying that it's not exactly news, since everyone seemed so shocked.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm not bothered by it, but I can see why someone might not like this.

There's a difference between restricting tattoo by race and restrict things like freckles/scars/hair because they're for npc. One is for lore reasons, the other is Bioware limiting how our pc look.
