They didn't just tell a lie about the ending though. They told the lie then sold the lie, claiming it wasn't a lie. They even retroactively denied it was a lie after the Extended Cut DLC came out, citing the "refuse" ending as proof that there were more than just the 3 endings.
So no buying cars from that guy. Got it.

Oh, crap. That really sucks. Good luck to you Ryan and others who were let go.
I see that the policy of Electronics arts has not changed...

I loved the last 2 dragon age games, but that's enough for me. I won't support this kind of behavior anymore. I don't want to see this kind of thing happen in the gaming industry in general anymore, and especially not to Bioware. If EA wants to fire good people from jobs they were passionate about, then I won't contribute to their profits. People need to learn that you can't treat fans and developers the way EA higher-ups have treated them for a long time, and if not buying their games is the only way to teach that, then so be it.

Not buying will only lead to smaller profits, thus more belt-tightening and therefore more lay-offs.

Well if you had bothered to actually pay attention, you'd know those were mages not witches and that the scene alludes to the mage/templar war, the one we would have seen in more detail had the expansion not been canceled.BasilKarlo wrote...

No, but it's not like that scene was a huge part of the trailer. It was simply there, along with the myriad of other scenes that also flashed at nearly subliminal speed, for a dramatic action-y effect. I'm willing to bet pretty much no one even noticed it. Besides you.
Well, you lost that bet. When the trailer came out and was dissected here many, many threads and discussions were made about it. Several devs even hinted that it was an important event.
But then again, I guess you can't be a proper Bioware, "fan" if you don't ignore reality and get bent out of shape over their, "lies".

Sorry. But they are clearly all female and looking rather witch like. Very Morrigan-esque from the sacred ashes trailer style of look. Also the fact that Flemeth is there around those scenes seemingly leading them.(Could show that with more screenshots if you like?) It would kinda be a big deal if Flemeth was raising an army of witches for whatever purpose dont you think?
Before Dragon Age 2 came out it was actually seen as a big deal.

Sadly these things happen, I've been studying Human Resources at Uni and mass layoffs are always inevitable, so by your logic if the water company dismisses people who love their job I shouldn't buy water. It's absurd of course there are going to be bad feelings and being dismissed does have negative conatations but attempt to take dismissal as opportunity to gain more experience and become better skilled.
Dismissing people in the short-term is quite expensive as it can not only cost money (HR trying to figure out the best way to dismiss and who to dismiss and the lost goodwill if word spreads that they are dismissing people and even lost morale around the dev. studios) so EA wouldn't just do it because "MUAHAHAHAHA, we're evil and now your fired because we like to crush employees dreams" they would do it because it's necessary and they had to sacrifice the few to save the many.
And to Ryan if you are listening, take this as an opportunity to improve your skills and became a better cinematic designer. Face the future with greater success.

Besides, the entire idea that, "they lied to us with the trailer" is idiotic to begin with, anyone with half a brain realizes and understands that the script can change after a trailer is made and may show scenes that were eventually cut from the final version.

And as far as the layoffs, =( I really hope everyone lands on their feet, and that this doesn't bode ill when it comes to the budget and quality of DA3.

Yes they are. Point out one who isn't basically a clone of this.

I never said I was fully agreeing with BasilKarlo did I? I was just pointing out one thing you were wrong about, so dont insult me fool.
I'm not a fool, I understand that trailers are embellished to make them seem "cooler" etc. Its fine to a point.
What syllogi says is also true. Agreed.

I'd suggest reeling in the attitude and getting some glasses, because none of them look like Morrigan, there are a few with exposed cleavage, but thats only a couple, and there are several that quite clearly do not have boobs at all. Though I can see why that scene is hard to judge, the animators took the lazy way out and only created a handful of unique characters and then copy/pasted them all over the scene. The ones with bewbs! stand out more than the ones without and with everyone wearing a similiar outfit, people jump to the conclusion that they're all female.Welsh Inferno wrote...

Besides, the only witches are Flemeth and her daughters, so unless Flemeth has an entire army of children she's kept hidden, the idea that they're all witches doesn't even make sense.
