Honestly that was my first thought when I saw this. Then I thought how oddly grouped it was and realized it was The Warden and Hawke.

 

Then Laidlaw set us straight. 

 

If it is Carver, he sure looks different.

I'd still consider the orlesian warden from DA:A to be "our" warden. Whoever the warden in the trailer was, it's most likely an npc, and not a -formerly- playable character.

 

It might be Carver, but was it even possible for him to be blonde in DA2? I made  a lot of mage Hawkes with customized looks, and Carver always had dark hair.

Carver is a brunette, that guy is blonde. I think all things point to Alistair.

I think it's the Warden from DA: A. And the Warden from DA: O is dead in that particular build.

I feel it is definitely not Alistair. Some Warden npc.

It could just be a build with the Ultimate Sacrifice warden and a female mage Hawke. I mean, why would it be the Inquisitor, the Champion, and... some Grey Warden?

It doesn't really look like Alistair, and who would be there instead if he was dead, or drunk? Especially for such an important looking battle.
