With a new console cycle on the horizon, it's doubtful DA is the only thing Bioware has cooking. Even if it's next gen, Bioware has made it clear that they are planning another Mass Effect game and a new ip. It could be that work is already underway on these projects, among other EA properties, and that DA week is when members of other teams make contributions, inquires, and suggestions to, about, and for DA.

I'm starting to get the DA week submissions fill up my inbox, it's such a fun week, so many great/cool ideas. Hopefully we can show some of the non-DA3 specific ones at some point.

Mass Effect 4 and the new IP are definitely already in production. EA doesn't let studios sit around doing nothing for no reason.
And DA Week is basically a week for the DA devs to work with other departments of the same dev team to learn new skills, work on side projects that might lay the groundwork for new features in the game, etc.

I'm not convinced we will see it Fall 2013, but I have no doubt that it will exist at some point. I mean... this isn't Half Life 3 or something.

"semi-confirmed" that the game will be about battle-plated armored cat's riding winged unicorns yelling the ancient war cry of there people which is "MAU-MAU-MUU" to the mushrooms invading aliens from planet Muffo who are in no way related to the well-known qunicorns from thedas...
and there was a "semi-confirmed" rummer that the name of the game will be "NOT DA:I"

Srsly. At this point, I feel like Bioware's caused enough pain that nothing short of skywriting portraits of the companions is a grand enough reveal to compensate. 

*may or may not be overly dramatic*

Or maybe I just need to broaden my gaming horizons to keep me busy in the mean time.

Srsly. At this point, I feel like Bioware's caused enough pain that nothing short of skywriting portraits of the companions is a grand enough reveal to compensate.

Blair, how come the teasing's stopped? I mean, up until a few weeks ago I felt like there was a small but steady trickle of tweets relating to progress. A blurry picture here and there. Some cryptic nickname thrown in. But now, everything is just dead silent in regards to DA:I. 

Am I imagining this? Is development just in a different, not so tweet-worthy fase? Was it something we did?

The big risk with showing off DA3 specific ones (even after the reveal) is that some people may think stuff like that is actually going into the game.
