All I know is that new enemies won't pop out everywhere like they did in DA2, but that there might pop out more "where it makes sense". A fade rift is one of these occations, and although I haven't heard about the tent thing, it does make sense aswell.

Wait.. didn't they say that extra enemies could pop out of tents? Cause I kinda remember that... plus there are the veil tears...
ya but they said the only enemies that will be popping out of the sky will be demons at rifts.

I expect comedy out of enemies coming out of tents. Sheer unashamed clown car or embarrassing sexual situation comedy.

Did you notice the undead suddenly rising from the water? How after the player killed some, more appeared? I bet in graveyards, you'll have the same thing with waves of undead crawling out of the ground.

Wave combat is still in the game.

Well at least that kind of makes sense, a little like in Redcliff in DA:O where we fight off a few waves of undead as well.
Guess we'll have to see how it plays out. If they don't parachute in on top of our characters, it shouldn't been too bad.

A group of enemies up a stairway, you say? This calls for ranged attacks, a tank holding position and my old friend: Wall of Fire.

Read that article. Is it wrong that I always intentionally mess up Aveline there? hehe.

also, can an enemy mage melt it with a fire spell?I keep seeing wall of fire - that's great, but what ever happened to wall of ice? Is that still around? I miss it. I feel like it'd offer more protection.

Not looking forward to the missions where you send advisors having timings.
With my job at max I'll be able to play two hours a night. If I want to send, say, Josie out on a mission, I might have to wait an entire day to be able to talk to her again. Which would suck, especially as I plan to romance her.
I wouldn't worry about it. From the descriptions making reference to "sending an agent" I suspect it'll just be a faceless minion, not the advisors themselves. Same as sending out your assassins in AC.

Have you seen the premise for DA:I?
Cuz the entire game is about how the sky is pooping out enemies.

Hah, true. But I mean in the stupid gameplay way DA2 did it. Sudden enemies appearing should make sense, but in DA2 it was a nonsensical mess.

Interesting to note that in the IGN demo, The Hand glowed to life when the Inquisitrix neared a Fade Tear.... which makes sense: so it doesn't freak people out all the time ![]()

Happened during the E3 demo too. As soon as it's in visible range, the hand glows.

Last I saw wall of ice is still there, and fun to use/pretty to look at.
The fire wall from the demo was an upgraded version of "earthshaking strike".

So long as it's restricted to things that make sense like that, I don't mind. Likewise with Demons coming out of Fade rifts, because well, it's what they do. And if (assuming I understood it right) we can carry the Veil torch to avoid those random undead encounters, that's even better.
The battles against human enemies we saw, however, seem to have none of it. Every enemy is already on station, ready for smashing. No more jumping from he top of buildings.

My issue with it had nothing to do with whether it made sense. The frustration for me was that in a game about the careful management of resources you were unable to make sensible decisions about when to expend resources because you never knew how many enemies you were actually facing.

I got the impression that it was the other way around, that the undead were attracted to the light and would attack you more often if you carries it. But in that case it remains the same, don't use the torch and stay out of the water to avoid most of the potential undead attacks.
