Happened during the E3 demo too. As soon as it's in visible range, the hand glows.
I must've missed seeing it that time
So many thing to look at and remember!

A necromancer raising undead is ok.
A commander waking sleeping guards from their tents is ok.
A patrol comming back to a base where you are already fighting is ok.
Fighting 10 mobs in a gang, then having 10 more jump from the roofs, then 10 more, then 10 more - is what Id call wave combat. I hate that when it breaks immersion (no logical reason for them to just... wait for their friends to die).
Ive always been a fan of endurance fights with resource management. Like in starcraft or warcraft maps which is "survive X minutes", those were always fun and challenging. But when hundreds of mobs comes at you wave after wave in a complete illogical and immersion breaking way like ... almost all encounters in DA2 - it ruined the fun of combat.
Id rather have to fight 7 dangerous and specialized mobs than 30 trashmobs which doesent have any real threat other that "Oh I just died due to being overwhelmed and I had no clue how many would appear considering cooldowns and such".
Wave tactics or endurance fights can be fun if limited and with logical context. Dragon age 2 had neither.

Why do people insist on using a game pad???
This write up from someone who played the demo at gamescon: http://everythingdra...rience-gamescom suggests that for whatever reason they had to use the controller.
They probably haven't finalized Mouse and Keyboard controls yet. There are a lot more buttons to deal with, after all.

Maybe they find the controller more comfortable. ![]()
[edit] Nevermind. Though you should still keep in mind that not everyone finds playing with keyboards comfortable.
At first, playing with a keyboard really made my wrist hurt.

according to someone who played the demo, it's because the keyboard and mouse playstyle still needs some work.
take it with a grain of salt

Because some people prefer or are more used to controllers the same way some people prefer a keyboard and a mouse.
Chill out.

I don't think Lexxbomb was impying KB&M is superior, just frustrated that it hasn't been shown at all.
There are other threads discussing the input methods ![]()
It's almost as though the game isn't 100% ready to be released or something! ![]()

Is that a tattoo of the Inquisitor helmet?
For that guy I hope the game ends up awesome in his opinion.
Are the quests going to be named in DAI like there were in DA2? I really liked that aspect of DA2, instead of somehting basic like 'Aveline companion Quest' we got 'The Longest Road'. Have we seen a quest journal shot yet? (If not anyone want to tweet this question?)

Some of them! We're still working on stuff so things may change, of course. ![]()

I'm most excited about the tarot cards and that sketchbook ![]()

For me it's the cards and the map markers. They are my favorite props from the game.
User
Ryan, might I ask a tarot related question, that is, does the DA:I deck use traditional Major Arcana?
User
Cause so far I got Varric=Justice; Cass(?)=Chariot/Strength?; Cole=TheMoon; Solas=TheHierophant
Ryan Treadwell @Ryan_Treadwell
Not in the game. Not 100% sure about the physical cards.
