All the fun of actually being here is taken out if people are not allowed write out their opinions and reactions.

Such 'stop spamming'-messages is liable to do little but generate resentment from all around and ruin the pleasant atmosphere.

Have all my likes

I think that I've hit 'Full Hype Mode'... the wait is going to be excruciating from now on.

Seriously. Stop spamming The twitter thread, please. Not everything you think needs to be typed out every 5 seconds.

I though spamming what you think needs to be typed out every 5 seconds was the definition of Twitter.  :D

sorry - you are quite right of course... on with the thread.

Little less than 100 days to go, if that helps. Or hurts. I don't know. :P

I am for the most part in agreement with this, especially since there isn't a lot of new information coming out every second about the game. That being said, when one persons posts are dominating the entire thread and are extremely brief and add almost nothing to the discussion or topic at hand, that's a bit much.

It's like the rules of voice chatting in online games. If your voice is the only one you're hearing for too long, then you are talking too much and need to pump the breaks a bit.

So BioWare wants good word-of-mouth for Inquisition?
Easy! Don't hold the review embargo until release date!
I've read a lot, a lot of comments from gamers that want to see how the reviews go before deciding to buy the game or not. If the game is as good as I think it will be, the reviews can easily be ME2 level of universal acclaim.

I'm sure BioWare would be able to get a feel for the mood of the reviewers before making such a decision,

but I think that's an excellent idea, ncRidesh.

And actually, there are a lot of games coming out October/early November, so having a ton of people filling in the DA Keep and hearing good things would do no harm at all.

Given the growing resentment to review embargos being held until the release date, letting the reviews go out ahead of the release (good or bad) could win Bioware some points in that regard. Maybe. Personally I just hope the reviewers are on their a-game regardless of what they say, since I've been less than happy with the slap-dash journalism on display from 'games journalists' so far.

Bah. Before you know it the tweets will go from "Working hard on crushing bugs" to "GAME'S OUT IN A WEEK"

Just gotta pull through

That is a hard thing to hope for. I have the same mindset. Journalists haven't exactly been doing the best job they can in some high profile cases.

Hoping not just Inquisition but gaming in general doesn't have to deal with that in the future.

Seriously - I saw the thread had grown like 10 pages since yesterday and I came in wondering if there was any actual news/anything exciting and then started reading about salads and WWE. Immediately saw LPPrince and thought, well that explains it. Yeah, now we know how you got to 40k posts.

It's been said before but needs to be repeated for people constantly. This thread is not for general chatter. There are literally hundreds of other threads that offer an alternative to do so on this forum. Keep this one for it's intended purpose. People who keep over doing it with their comments ALSO generate resentment and ruin the pleasant atmosphere.

True. Fortunately (not really) I'll be moving most of this next month, and the semester starts soon. I'll be pining for these days of empty waiting and checking twitter by next week.

You'll notice a change in a few months when the grind is building and building before the game goes gold.

THAT will bring rejoicing.

I think their air conditioners are working now though, right? Least I got that from one of the tweets.

If nothing else, I'd appreciate it if LP Prince edited his posts instead of literally making one post to quote one person and another post to quote someone else.

People keep complaining about this and I don't understand why.  If the only thing you want to do is read tweets then scan the thread and only read tweets.  There's a clear visual difference between a post that contains a tweet and one with just standard text.  When I want to scan the thread it may be an extra 90 seconds of work at best to skip over the irrelevant posts and find the ones with tweets. Is the drama really necessary? This thread jumps pages all the time strictly because developers are sending random tweets back and forth that have nothing to do with DAI information.  Complaining that you saw the page count jump and was disappointed that there wasn't new information doesn't have any merit.  On top of that most of the people who are policing this thread one day are the exact same people who jump off topic the next. There's very little consistency. Which is why requests to "stop spamming' are routinely ignored.  People need to chill....

Nope. I think they're hard at work at the moment, or on break. Whatever the case, nothing big.

Oddly proud of the armour I crafted for my Inquisitor. No particular reason... I just made it myself and it looks nice :)

In the loot window, can we please compare gear, against all party members, even absent ones?

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

No, you cannot. Memory management means non-active characters are not loaded outside of base.

does a qunari inquisitor have to have horns

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

Nope.
