If this has been asked I'm sorry, but will all inquisitors be called the Herald of Andraste or will title depend on the PC?

Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes

That's sort of a spoiler. Rest assured, I believe we handle it in a way devout Andrastians and atheists alike can take.

I don't remember the total amount of saves on console but I'm sure they were never even close to 32 for one game.

Yeah, it's a console thing. I've made waaaay over ten playthroughs and a bunch of saves on each one on PC. Never had a problem. I think it was the same for Mass effect.

Thanks! I did a little checking as well and it looks like both consoles had a 10 character limit...

You can always move a save-game to a new folder when you've completed that play-through, if there does end up being a cap. Personally, though, I've never even gotten close enough to reaching the cap to realize there was one.

Are you talking about on the PC? I play on the Xbox.

At first I thought it was a limitation of the hardware but I don't think ME3 had any limitations for save games. So I'm hoping it'll be a thing of the past.

My coworker got an email from Best Buy saying the new release date is back to October 7th? True or false?

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

False. No way we’d randomly pull it back in and tell a best buy newsletter first.

In the loot window, can we please compare gear, against all party members, even absent ones?

Mike Laidlaw ‏@Mike_Laidlaw
No, you cannot. Memory management means non-active characters are not loaded outside of base.

I hope it will at least be possible somewhere?

I really hated in DA2 that you had no way to manage the whole party. You had to grab three, leave home, do whatever management you wanted (change inventory, level up, etc.), return, and then repeat as many times as needed to get everybody set up.

It was possible in Origins while in camp, and I found its absence in DA2 a huge regression.

As a PSA, if all you want to see are tweets with no commentary between, you can hit the ignore user button on just about everyone but Hrungr.  :P  Problem solved!

*whispers* how do I do this? Am a forum n00b here.

Also, on the topic of multiple DAI world states, I also have way more than 5 world states, but only 2 or 3 that I really like, so those are the ones I'm going to be recreating. I'm generally a completionist, so that's going to be about 500-600 hours of playtime for me.

well they did specifically say "outside of the base". Which I presume means inside the base you can equip inactive party members.

I don't think there are, since I think you have to convert to their religion to join a clan

The Inquisitor is called the Herald of Andraste in the new "Enemy of Thedas" trailer.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. My eyes won't have to fall out from all the rolling after all, and Leliana, aka the most obnoxious creature in fiction, will once again hate me as much as I hate her. Bioware, you are the best!

It will probably be available at Skyhold, just like how you can manage your entire party in the camp in Origins.

Dalish.

I don't think anyone can truly be an atheist in the Dragon Age universe. You can really only be an obstinate fool. I think the farthest effective theological "Backpedaling" that can happen in Dragon Age (And in fact, just about every Fantasy Universe ever created) is being a Deists. On some level you have to acknowledge the supernatural forces which manifest themselves daily and objectively.

Then again, this is filtered through modern perceptions of religion having a monopoly on matters of spirit and the numinous. (Sam Harris' words not mine, in case anyone thinks I sound rather smart) In Thedas, the matters of Spirit (The Fade) and creation (the Gods) may in fact be separate matters entirely to some cultures. That could be the case for the Dalish, but I'm rather dumb when it comes to interpreting what the Dalish believe.

Thinking about above, I really think Solas might have some fascinating input on the subject, but maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.

I disagree. You do not have to believe in Spirits (as in fade beings) in Thedas because they are real, just like you do not believe in the postman in our world.

Saying that from their existence induces the existence of a deity (whether ones who take active interest like the old greek or gods who left after the act of creation like the chantry believes ) is the same mistake as the watchmaker analogy. Just because one does not have an explanation now on how something started there is no reason to put a creator at the beginning. Speaking with modern day knowledge the fade could very well have co-evolved with the material world, only starting to take shape when sentient beings started dreaming (hence all the spirits being linked to emotions or ideals).

It is perfectly possible to be an atheist in the setting, Morrigan is one after all as she proclaims in her banter with Leliana.
