Plus I'm sure people may have already saved/screencapped

I did, but for personal use. If they don't want it to spread then I won't spread it. That simple. Not talking to you directly, but have some integrity people.

I am honestly surprised leaks were avoided as long as they were.  Though as others have said, I'm sure private forums have had leaks for awhile.  Members of those forums usually have soft NDAs about said forums so as they remain private, and therefore nothing significant changes.

The only good sims 4 has is the character creation, nothing more. Sigh, i'm disappointed with the new game, you would think they'd have done much more than previous sims.

I thought this was always Sims strategy?  Every base release of a new version is missing critical features that get added back in over dozens of expansions.  Brilliantly unethical... or unethically brilliant?  Lots of cash, anyway.

Can we try to avoid discussing any leaked stuff here?

It ruins the surprise for people who are waiting for an official unveiling.

(Also, breaking an NDA potentially has legal consequences for the person who signed it.)

I agree. Leaks shouldn't be posted here. A new thread should be made for that (this sounds so wrong xD).

There was a thread on this some hours back but it got axed. It wasn't even locked, the thread just disappeared.

I don't think anyone should be encouraging the open distribution of leaked information, if it's obvious that the information is genuine and would spoil the hard work of many developers.

Indeed - not only is an NDA legally binding, but a potential leak affects more people than you know. Developers don't deserve for someone to leak information on something they are working so hard on. If you sign an NDA then it's your responsibility to keep to the word and the spirit of it. This includes not showing your friends - who didn't sign an NDA - and keeping your own lips shut on the matter.

No, that's not the case. What you may be thinking of is the fact that each base game is missing stuff from the previous game plus expansions (which I don't think is so unreasonable, really). So far they've always iterated and added to the vanilla game - they added teenagers, genetics, needs and wants in the Sims 2. They added an open world and personality traits in the Sims 3.

Never before has a core gameplay element from vanilla been removed from a sequel. This is unprecedented. It's SimCity all over again.

This game is hashed together from the remnants of a failed Sims Online game. They wasted years and millions trying to make their cash cow into an even more cynical moneyspinner, failed, and this is the result. In doing so it looks like they've ironically ruined the player experience.

I just love how this validates the post someone made back then of how the same people complaining would do the same thing on another day.

And here we are

Meanwhile I'm having a Twitter conversation with Bioware dev Barrett Rodych about negativity and shovels

You should suggest Bioware branch out and make a realistic military flight sim.  Why should Eagle Dynamics have all the fun?

Because that would put Bioware into all sorts of zones that may or may not be dangerous

Kickass music would accompany them tho :P

I understand that people want to discuss other things (especially on a slow Twitter day), but I don't think EP wants to lose his thread to lockdom, and if the thread got locked Hrungr couldn;t be the King of Tweets anymore.  Then I would be sad, because I have an internet crush on him/her :(

If it is imperative to discuss the Sims, try the off topic forum.

For leaked things (which aren't lasting long, so recommend not) make a new topic, and possibly get a warning point.

For everyone saying lecturing gets old, EP is just looking out for his thread, so it doesn;t get locked.  It has already been unpinned (if Im not mistaken?).

We can all be civil :)
