No. If you want locks picked, take a rogue in one of your party's 4 slots, just like the previous DA games.

I usually end up playing a rogue my first playthrough, just so I don't miss anything.  That chest at the beginning of DA2 was the bane of my existence when I played any other class.

I didn't run with a rogue at all in DAO, but between Varric and Cole I'm sure one of them will be in my party at all times just based on what they'll bring to banter, excepting the one rogue playthrough I have planned.

I personally had a mod for both DAO and DA2 that enabled me to bash locks. Wish that was an option in DAI, would have made more party combinations possible (and it doesn't look like it'd be easy to mod a bash lock option with the new engine this time around).
