I feel for the guy, but I think they really have no one else to blame other than themselves on botching the unveiling. 3 months from now DA:I will be out. Maybe 2 months from now the Keep will be released. Anyone who isn't in the super exclusive Beta hasn't seen hide nor hair of the keep. I'm surprised it took this long for there to be a leak. Of course I didn't think it would be this long before they unveiled anything either.

I didn't know about the leak until it was already hushed up. Glad about that. As antsy as I'm getting, I can wait....hopefully without exploding (or annoying my friends and family with constantly talking about the game).

Same for me. I get to experience it as Melo intended. Yay for me (us)!

As someone who was innocently browsing Tumblr and saw the leaks, it looks amazing. If anything, I'm now even more eager to get in and try it out for myself.

Yes, it's totally Fernando's fault that some guy broke the NDA on purpose, and it's surprising that many people were following their NDA agreement up to this point.  I mean, wow.

I know right?  They totally should of released the Keep early when it was still buggy, unpretty, and not working correctly that way people would be pissed off about that and lower credibility they are trying to build up.

Now we have a blood red eye... with tentacles coming out of it... and a sword.

Please, insert more words in to my mouth. Maybe then you can dispute what I'm "saying." No one said anything about releasing anything before it was finished. They had the time to unveil it or even talk more about it before all this and they didn't. Leaks are a part of the business. ESPECIALLY if you are in a closed beta that has a bigger pool of people growing every week. If they wanted to be ahead of this, then they had the time to do it. If DA:I didn't get delayed, The keep would be releasing a few weeks from now. It ''s more than ready to be unveiled in a hands off capacity.

Aye. It appears that the human and qunari racials help the early game a bunch, but the elven and dwarven racials play the long game.

 

I think it's the exact opposite of what you say. The Qunari and the Human would always have that bonus over Dwarves and Elves. The Qunari would always have 50 health more than anyone else, Humans would always have an extra ability point. However, one can only have up to 100% of anything. So quite clearly, the others are going to catch up sooner or later.

But with 25% innate resistance to a particular damage type you can focus on other gear and you won't have to wear as much resistance gear.

From what we've seen in previous games, these resistances are tied to specific abilities, so as those are raised, so does the resistance.

 

I'm not saying these bonuses are worthless, I'm just saying they are only good in relatively low levels, and their usefulness decreases (to nothing, most likely) in higher levels, while the Qunari and Human bonuses do indeed decrease in worth, but not to nothing.

 

How much each of these are worth? I have no idea, because we do not know how any of these qualities scale in the game.

It really depends on how much health we get in this game. If our health pools are reaching into ranges like 500-1000 HP I don't see 50 extra health being a significant bonus (at 500 HP that extra health would equate to only a 10% bonus) later on. That's going off of that 50 extra health being a one time thing, not a continuous bonus per level.
