Nope. Murderknife held against Leliana's throat during "Lead Them or Fall"
Forgot about that, though I was and am still wondering why we aren't getting the same muderknife hooplah that we did before DA2.

Lots of lovely lovely info!
Yet another Game of Thrones actor! Nice.
OK, I've actually watched the vid now. I take back what I said.
This isn't about hiring another Game of Thrones actor. This woman is incredible regardless.
Please.
GoT was lucky to have her.
I remember the days when people were know for things besides GoT. I know it's right in the front of the public consciousness right now, but it's like only bothering to remember someone for the most recent thing they did and forgetting all the other (and possibly better) things they've done before. And Indira Varma's done LOADS of great things.

You knew her before she was cool?
You knew her before she was cool?
I knew her since her days as a Kamasutra: A Tale Of Love. I am an Asian Indian and a few years ago, out of boredom, I decided to look for Indian actors / actress who act in English films. I found Indira (I know she is only half Indian but still) and have liked her ever since.
Here's hoping for Vivienne's romance scene, should she be romanceable, be something like the scenes in Kamastura. ![]()
Fixed this for you....

(if only because I couldn't find an appropriate hipster meme image for it...)
If you like, I knew her when she was already cool for the other things she's done. GoThrones is just another thing, not THE thing.
Varric isn't Li. It was obvious.
Guest_Trojan.Vundo_*
maybe, but it was still ****** poor of BW to drag it out for so long.Varric isn't Li. It was obvious.
Didn't a dev pretty explicitly state Varric loved Bianca -only- like a year ago?
Companion AI looked very troubling in those few new gameplay videos from gamescom. Solas just strolling about in "peace mode" while the inquisitor fights demons, Blackwall stuck on stairway or just standing about and same with cole just standing and doing nothing or when he was hitting mobs, it didn't seem to do any damage.
Hopefully they get companion AI working properly on release, otherwise it will be very frustrating to play this game
It was a lot worse at E3.
As for Solas, his AI package may have been set as a helper, he was actually putting barriers and using the AOE stun thunder thing quite a bit, as opposed to spamming a lot of damage, the fact that his mana was rarely above 50% in combat should let you know he wasn't idling around. I know for my support characters in DA:O I typically took the auto-attack function out of the command lines for aggression control reasons so it's not unreasonable to think that may be in play (but probably not). Suffice to say compared to E3 where the companion AI's were really only using Auto Attack, I think it's fair to say it's shaping up pretty well.
It seems the only real problem came in navigating that bridge. Blackwall got caught for a little bit, but corrected eventually, though Cole seemed to never move into range on the bridge.
Maybe you're just trying to shield yourself from disappointment, but companion AI was something I was deliberately looking at after seeing the very poor AI showing at E3, assuming the Mire footage is representative of the whole game, the AI is functional. Hopefully three more months can polish it up even more.
OK. I am SO going to enjoy the dialogue with Vivienne.
LOL that "dressing down" from Indira Varma was truly fabulous and scary, all at the same time.
I'm very torn with Vivienne. Right now she's in that point where its like "You are either going to be my worst enemy or my best friend."

Which is just as it should be.

I have not seen GoT, but I do recall her work in Human Target; a series that died way too soon, IMO.
But as far as Viv goes, she is still Orlesian; will likely pass for Solas on the first campaign.
She might live there, but I believe she's a Marcher originally...
Some fan art from Twitter I though you'd like:

I'm sorry for his fans but that's a good decision imo
@ Andraste_Reborn, they even made him hotter this time lol
*sigh*
So hot. Forever unobtainable. They just have to rub it in, don't they?

This is not fan art. This is art from DA RPG.
Hm? What did I miss? Where is the article that confirms Varric as a non-LI?
I'm personally just still anxious about whether Blackwall is a romance or not. Come on Bioware, let us know so we can rest >.>
There's an interview with Mark Darrah and Mike Laidlaw where they confirm that Varric isn't an option. It's here, but unless you happen to understand Swedish you're not going to be able to read it for yourself.
Could it be a mistranslation again (it has happened before), or is there no question about it this time?
Several native Swedish speakers have confirmed that it's an unambiguous statement.

So you can't romance Varric...It's a good thing. It should stay that way. Perhaps it will lead us to Bianca. And there's now a higher chance to romance Vivienne, Solas or Blackwall (although I doubt about the last option, since he's a Grey Warden, but who knows). I think we should have an option to romance an elf in my opinion. It just seems fair. Sorry for this off topic post.
