I've long thought we need a grey warden romance where (at the end) the LI submits to the calling and goes off to the deep roads to meet their fate.  Maybe Blackwall will be that romance?

Could be an interesting plot thread. 

 

IIRC, an idea was floated around where some of the Origins companions would contract the Taint after the Landsmeet and would have to go through the Joining. I can't remember whether it was cut due to time and resource constraints or the writers disliking the plot (perhaps a little of both - perhaps I'm imagining the whole thing).
