Am a completionist by nature, but much less so now than during NWN1. There I took six months reloading for every major container and most minor ones for the acquisition of the best gear. Also had to fill out every map, which drove my campaign party bonkers at times, to the amusement of our DM's.

Sort of burned me out of my O-C extremism. Now I try to locate the secret lairs and treasures, investigate quests, etc, but have learned to skip those things that do not truly interest me.

Doubtful. I know Prima and BradyGames (the guide authoring companies) have a history of working very closely with game developers to write these. My experience with guides has generally been positive so I'm not worried.
 
You can preorder the CE guide here for 28 bucks. It also comes with some bonus in-game items which is nifty.

I have a wonder what the bonus in game stuff is . I already have the Deluxe version of the game pre-ordered , hmm I am tempted for the artwork however

I wouldn't consider myself a completionist in the traditional sense; it depends on how much areas/side quests hold my attention.

 

But I am THRILLED that there's lots of gameplay content for us to explore and get stuck on.

 

I mean, even just considering the Fallow Mire, I noticed:

Allegra Clark seems to be a natural to join Geek & Sundry, from the little I have viewed (eg; gaming, Cos-play, acting, etc). Hope she is considered, at least.

In some ways, I do too. However, I have found that vids and some streams of events can keep me apprised of some noted events and celeb panels without the cost, inconvenience, and annoyance that my special needs would bring to the crowds.

You said approval won't be a fixed number anymore, but in the gamescom demo we saw +5 for Cole. Could you clarify that?

Debug. Final version says “approves”. We still track approval behind the scenes. Computers are pretty bad at “feels.”

 

I wonder if there will be an option to see the approval numbers? That would be helpful for those that want to know which responces/actions result in the best result.

If not, someone will undoubtedly create a Save Game Editor on the PC so we can see these values (and reverse-engineer from there...)

Would be cool if they release the Keep on October 7, the date DAI was originally supposed to be released.
