Well, a trailer is not an "announcement", except if there is a big announcement at the end of the trailer

But i think they are doing a disservice to the game (well, at least i hope the game offers much more than the trailers suggest). Marketing is primarily not meant for fans that are gonna buy the game anyway.

I don't see how a gamplay trailer is something that lacks substance or is a disservice to the fans. You may have a preference, but it doesn't mean that gameplay isn't important, or my goodness, shallow. I mean, it isn't a game without gameplay, is it? 

 

I for one am looking forward to the upcoming gameplay trailer; combat looks to have a lot of depth and strategy and I am excited.

Also interesting about Bioware Points. I'm going to be playing DA:I on PS4 since I can't afford to upgrade my PC this year, but still interesting. Of course it remains to be seen what the currency prices will look like for DLC in different countries. If some people are still getting screwed on the price it's not much of an improvement. Sorry, negative Mondays.

 

Can't wait for this trailer. If it's a gameplay trailer, that might be a good place to announce and show off multiplayer gameplay right? Just saying.

If its a cool 5 min long trailer showing some new characters and combat and connected dialogue then awesome, that can be the announcement as far as I care!

Looks like they altered the design of the pride demons slightly (assuming that's not a statue). They used to have rather large bone spurs jutting out from their wrists.

Its a MP match, like ME3. The Pride demon takes the place of Atlas or Turian Reaper things. Ghosts are little cerberus soldiers.

I said disservice to the game, not fans. They should present the game as being more than just a random collection of combat, demons, and dragons. Make it attractive to people that want more out of their games than that. Maybe closer to release... hopefully... 

 

Do you seriously expect to see combat depth, in a 2 minute trailer? It's all about showing off pretty visuals.

That's why I thought it might be a subservient to Pride. Either that or the clipping issues were just too much after people tore the E3 demo to shreds over 0.25 seconds of camera clipping in the Dragon Fight.

There are no ghosts in the world of Dragon Age. It is probably imprinted of the living when they died, just like in DA:O, replaying the final moments.

This one also have those, you can just make out the one at the back of the demon's left arm (viewer's right side), it is just angled so it is not very obvious. Except for colour it is identical to the Pride demons we know and love

I think they probably removed the spurs simply because they were always a bit problematic with clipping. The pride demon doesn't really need them to look menacing, really.

I wondered if it was the angle hiding them, but I think they would still jut out more. I do believe they have been removed.

I became slightly disappointed when I realized that thing on the right was probably two ghosts instead of a two headed ghost.
