Does MP install when a person installs SP game? Or is it optional?
I've had bad, "female-gamer" related issues with MP strangers - the usual stuff. Though the DA crowd would be different than the GTA5 players (in theory) so I suppose there's that. I'm certain to give it a whirl, don't get me wrong, but it will be well after my first playthrough is exhausted & likely without the use of my headset.
I can assure I'm always a gentleman no mater what the gender of the person.

Oh, hell yes! Doesn't have an effect on SP, for those uninterested, but looks like it will be great if you are. I loved ME3's MP, so I think I will adore this, too!

I was one of those hard-ass killers! But that was in the halcyon days of XBox 360/PS3/PC only...now we have PS4 and X1 in the mix. All my friends have scattered to the console winds!
Probably getting an X1 first, though. ;_; It's got a single exclusive (Halo... I wanna play the campaigns for the first time, ha) and earlier Inquisition DLC. PS4's a long-haul winner for me, most likely, but this holiday season I'm Microsoft-tempted... curse you, space opera addiction... >_<

I'm not surprised at this news. Just...disappointed. And angry. And bitter. And I feel very very slighted.
Not connecting it to the SP also probably means we don't need to be connected to the internet every time we want to play *cough*masseffect3*cough*.
So instead of playing my Inquistor I can play some predetermined character with fewer abilities and no pause? I can barely contain my excitement...
Was hoping for something that would get me hyped again. Oh well.
Since the characters work for our Inquisitor, will some of the items we unlock in multiplayer become available in story mode?

I have a sneaking suspicion the 'bonus' digital content that comes with the Deluxe Edition is multiplayer-related; they weren't able to announce it back then because they couldn't talk about a multiplayer component.

This is literally the least intrusive method they could've possibly done it. There'll still be SP DLC.

Indubitably, Chron0id! We all know that releasing MP with ME3 prevented them from releasing any DLC after the game was finished.
Not what I was insinuating. I was implying they'd put more focus on the MP post game-launch, rather than the SP.
