cuddly BSN.

He's so cute!
I want to pet him, and cuddle him, and love him.

Awww. Ain't that the most huggable little guy you ever did see? ;D
Which one would actually give an answer?
Mike Laidlaw answers quite a bit so he's probably a good go to choice for it. Might try one of the MP devs but I don't know for sure which one of them actually works on it solely
Mike Laidlaw would definitely be a good bet.
I do know that Scylla Costa is on the MP team so you can try him as well.
TheodoricFriede: I took the comment regarding seeing MP characters as NPCs around the camps in the SP campaign to just mean that if you create a character you might see them wandering around and recognize them. Nothing more and nothing less. I doubt they'll have dialog.
I really can't stress the backlash ME3 received with how the MP initially affected the SP campaign and it was changed for that reason. The DA team has been very open about listening to fan feedback from the last DA game and all the evidence I've seen from gameplay demos and trailers suggests that they truly took it all to heart. I see no reason why the MP would be any different.

I think it's even less than that. Given that we don't create characters we simply assume their role (i.e.. the Reaver is a fixed character [female in this case]). So their weapon choice (2H, S&S, etc) are all defined, and so is base armor.
I think we just see those npcs and maybe have generic dialogue with them. If those characters actually change to reflect what gear we have them equipped with from our MP campaign that would be pretty cool, since that is a change on along the lines of alternate appearance packs.
That's pretty much what I meant.
If we get to see a customized version of one of our characters, I'd be really (and pleasantly!) surprised.
Interesting tidbit on scaling between consoles and PC from the Wired article...
What we did, and Frostbite does this very well, is build our systems to be scalable. The number of creatures that exist in an area, how much wildlife and stuff there is, can scale dynamically based on the platform. It also scales based on what effects you have had on the environment. So if there's Fade rifts open and a bunch of demons wandering around, there will not be much wildlife about. Once you close them down, you'll see nature start to reappear. Maybe you're out hunting bears for their leather, you need to shut down rifts to improve the spawn rate for bears.

It's in response to a ton of blather, false assumptions and rhetoric being spouted off all over the place. Which parts of it are incorrect?
I didn't say it was incorrect.
A good chunk is addressed at strawmen, many of it's rebuttals do not in fact (or at least IMO) rebut and it's wholly one-sided.
"Puff-piece" was perhaps a better word choice than propaganda-y, but it rubbed me up the wrong way. Anyway, I'll leave it at that and go to bed before I get even less coherent.
Regarding multiplayer...

Is there also a Healer class?
Ryan Treadwell @Ryan_Treadwell
We haven't announced all the classes yet. But all of the classes can handle healing on their own pretty well.
Yep very fun!

alchemist look really cool.

Blowing stuff up is always a good idea.

if thats the case, then fine, but i have major concerns of any interaction between Multiplayer and single player at all.
I dont think it needs to be mentioned that i have been burned before.
But im going to mention it anyway.

I made Bull some arm thingies for his armor, and they are GOLD, and also he now has striped pants!
He is the fanciest Qunari in all the land!
New question and answer:
Will MP support cross-platform play?
Players will only be able to play Dragon Age Multiplayer with people from the same platform. No cross platform play will be available.

Is that even a thing that possible to do?

It is possible, it is also super expensive and complicated.
This, to me, means PC is definitely the right choice for DAI.

I'll probably regret this but... How could that possibly influence whether or not PC is the "right choice"?

Ahh, I just mean there will be the largest population of players on PC as compared to consoles (especially with the division of prev gen consoles and current gen). I've also found that MP aspects of games tend to last longer on PC communities than on console communities (for whatever reason).
So I am guessing that the PC MP community will thrive and last for a good long time.
