From world of thedas

My speculation:
Sera, Iorn bull [from the survey] and other (possibley Inquisitor) fighting demon possessed Nevarran mummies (which according to the book look exactly like that)

Ugh, I hope we don't have another Quanari as a companion.

DA2 only increased my hatred of them as a whole. Though, if the survey is correct, this Quanari isn't a stoic **** like all the others.

If the survey is correct he isn't a Qunari at all, just a Tal-Vashoth Kossith.

Yep, the semantics are kinda important here.

I liked Iron Bull's outline, if it ends up being accurate, and there's precedent for that kind of character. Wrex was extremely popular, after all.

I'd just like to say, I never said qunari. He is kossith, idk about tal vashoth, we don't know enough about his backstory.

I thought immediately of Black Whirlwind when I read about him. Could be good...

I need to get me that book...

But, regarding the picture, IF they do snow in the game I really hope they do it better that Skyrim. That was actually jarring in such a beautiful game...

Snow as in on the ground, or snow as in snowing?

We had snow on the ground in Return to Ostagar and Warden's Keep.

Stuff like this;

I'm not sure how well it shows in the image, but textures like that (or worse) are abundant.

The snowing was great, although, I was so happy it was snowing at all that I probably would have accepted Ice Climber graphics for that. Weather effects... Image IPB

Right, I forgot.

That will be better most likely. I'm just really not a fan of the Quanari religion.

Anyway. This is pure speculation but it's something to discuss. I keep seeing pictures in World of Thedas and some other concept art on the internet of a person with those black and red hooded robes. I'm wondering if that's the protagonist, and if it is, I hope that the proposed companion armor customization isn't used on the protagonist either. Imagine not being able to change your armor even as YOUR character.

I LIKE the idea of the unique look and being able to put armor pieces on companions but I hope we still have full control over our characters armor choice.
Not that I don't think those red and black robes look cool. I would just hate to always have to wear those(Even if I could heavily customize them) all the time.

Surely it's just an iconic look for marketing and concepting purposes, like Hawke had the iconic armour. A red-cloaked mystery figure makes the Inquisitor much easier to identify and show off.

(Reaching for an example, Skyrim got a good run out of marketing the protagonist with that iconic helmet)

I'd be shocked if we couldn't customise the protagonist's appearance, given how much customisation and item modification we've seen being hinted at. It's said to be one of the main things they're focusing on for DA3, I think it's *really* unlikely that we'll be forced into one look.

Sword and shield guy looks dwarven to me. But maybe it's just the comparison with tall oxman and slender (elf?) archer. And the weird stance

The weird stance looks similar to how Cassandra faced off the Golems and Ogres in Dawn of the Seeker, except that she was dual weilding at the time (not sword & shield).

That is a really odd stance, especially for a shield user. Not that important since it's just a concept art, but I still really miss the stance that sheild users would adopt when using Shield Defense or Shield wall in DA:O. It was simple, practical, AND it looked incredibly cool.

Indeed. The above picture has a bit of a "Come at me, bro" vibe to it, which is not the usual tactic of a sword-and-board combat character. But it might be splitting hairs there.

Nevarra sounds like a very unusual place. After reading about it I find myself hoping we get to visit at some point.

It appears Microsoft will confirm the full lineup of launch titles for the next Xbox during its E3 presentation, but some things will be teased on May 25:

No idea whether DA3 will be among them, but good to keep in mind.

I totally am a informationless noob at these things but here is my guess:Microsoft wants to show all those fancy graphics on xbox 720 at the reveal right?Wouldn't it make sense for DA3 to be announced BEFORE the xbox 720 reveal so they could show how the graphics are pretty at the xbox reveal?
