I am mad about the romances because my inquisitor is going to have such a hard time deciding whether she should hit on Josephine or Sera. ;_;
I'm mad because I don't know what order to do my "romance and leave everyone to hear the slightly altered banter" run in. Do I romance Solas, dump him for Ib, dump him for jo, dump her for cullen, dump him for Sera, and then take as many in the same party with me at a time as I can? Or do I do any of the other number of permutations that would make the companions have silly dialogues about my romance life.

Actually now that I think about it have the devs said you could end a romance with someone, then start one up with another? I know flirt options with others go away when you start a romance but do they come back if you decide that person isn't for you and end things?

On to more pleasant topics, I see Blackwall was confirmed as the last LI. Good to know my femDwarf warrior gets to Climb the Wall. (Ba-dum-tish.) So, I guess this means we'll have been able to romance a Warden in all three games : DAO (Alistair), DA2 (Anders), DAI (Blackwall). Very cool!

If I recall correctly it was explained earlier by a dev (Darrah? Gaider?) that pre-alpha was the stage where content was being added, alpha was the stage where content was removed (buggy) and bugs are fixed, and beta is where they go gold or something along those lines.

What happens when we go off on tangents in our reports?
Well it's finally official--I will be making an Inquisitor for each romance. That's 8 Inquisitors x minimum 80 hours each playthrough (and this is a guess) = me never sleeping again

Did you check to make sure the target in the properties tabs of DAOrigins.exe doesn't end in "-enabledeveloperconsole?" (Assuming you're on PC, that is)
I was having that issue for the longest time, and once I did that, everything started uploading again. Not that I needed it though, since I only plan on using my initial DAO play-through (which was already uploaded before I started messing with the developer console) as my canon for DAI.

Most if not all current engines support the ability to fake sub-surface scattering in some manner, but I haven't really seen it implemented much in finalized games yet. It'll come in due time, though. It's only been around a couple of years at most in-engine. Tessellation is another recent addition to the toolbox that should drastically improve game visuals in the years to come (technically this one's already started making waves in released games, such as Crysis 3).
im not sure but i do know frostbite 3 /unreal4/crytek 3+ are probably only engines capable of that effect so whos knows maybe in the future???!!!???!!?!
As posted before, it's most likely a fake SSS shader, possibly done with transparency and reflection maps to achieve the effect. Most SSS shaders I know of require ray tracing to be physically accurate. I don't know of any real time ray tracing in game engines yet, but hopefully that'll be a thing in the not too distant future.
I had my doubts that true SSS could be done in real-time, but I know research is being done in the area, so I thought I might have missed some development. I hadn't thought about ways to fake SSS, that make perfect sense, though. Interesting.
