Why, what was he doing four years ago.
Among other things, writing this guy:

Oooh thanks, I didn't know he wrote Mordin, very cool.
Between The Masked Empire, Mordin, Tali, Rannoch and his contribution to the Tuchanka arc in ME3... Patrick Weekes may be my favourite BioWare-writer. And now he's writing Cole?! Oh, man... I expect a lot of feels.

Thoughts. Mine. Exactly.

...in fact, Padok Wiks (the character you get if Mordin is dead from ME2) is deliberately based of Patrick Weekes name. He was named such by John Dombrow. In retaliation, Pat wrote the character Jondum Bau.
Oh right, now I remember. Isn't he patsquinade? I recall him polling fans over how different the dialogue should be depending on Shepard's sex and expressing mild surprise when we all wanted it to be as identical as possible.

with that imagery, none of my playthroughs in any Dragon Age game will ever be the same
thanks
Glad I could help.
Most of my Origins and DA2 playthroughs have been no-potion/no-KO runs.Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
Unless you're trying to get through DAI without using potions. Then holy crap you are totally out of luck.

The fact that the biggest reaction to my tweetspam was, "Okay, sure, but NO-POTIONS RUNTHROUGH, hunh?" means you are all wonderful people.
Just to note, John Dombrow wrote the Tuchanka arc in ME3 (including Wrex, Eve, and Padok).Between The Masked Empire, Mordin, Tali, Rannoch and Tuchanka in ME3... Patrick Weekes may be my favourite BioWare-writer. And now he's writing Cole?! Oh, man... I expect a lot of feels.
Does anybody know if the preorder weapons have an electricity variant or are they only fire. I like Palpatine.

Skyhold is the least interesting thing for me about DAI. I just need a chest that will hold stuff I do not want to sell or have in my inventory as I travel.
Well, they're not called The Force Lightning of Andraste, so I'm thinking probably not. Maybe at a later date she'll retroactively go Sith on everyone.

I don't know, this scene
Still makes my balls retreat into my body given how awful and cringy it is. But other than that he's a pretty amazing writer. Gaider will always be my favourite.

Dude, tell your manhood to grow a quad - that scene was awesome and adorable.

Two are enough for me, I enjoyed the scene far more if you do it as a friend. In which there is no singing.
Congratulations! you're the first person I've met or talked to who enjoyed that.

I loved that scene, too. There's nothing wrong with the singing.

I liked that scene too. It's awkward and cheesy, yes, but intentionally so. I find it adorable and cute.
Have to admit i liked it as well, if fit tali nicely.
