I still wish Bioware would have some sort of presence at NYCC this year. I was hoping that when the release date was pushed back that they'd consider it, but alas.../cue Sad Hulk Music as I walk away...

So DA:I is shipping on the same Day as Far Cry 4 & GTA 5.... Well Bioware are Screwed.
Two games I don't care... Still pre-ordering DA:I. Poor Ubisoft, DA:I will push my The Crew and Assassin's Creed: Unity purchases for december or even 2015.

69 days...
That's two months, a week, and some change.
Come on, ladies and gentlemen, we can make it!
Just got my new gaming rig up and running, and 69 days should be just enough time to playthough DA:O and II to whet my appetite....as if it wasn't whet enough!

Yeah seems like Bioware can't catch a break with release dates. First they were bogged down with Shadow of Mordor, Alien Isolation and who knows what else, now they have 2 even larger games to worry about. I'm sure people will be lapping up Far Cry 4 simply because it's a shooter, so that'll probably hurt sales a bit, and then GTAV is GTAV so once again we have another game the average gamer is probably going to buy over Dragon Age.
Sometimes I get really worried about the future of Dragon Age, hell...for SP RPGs in general.

Sounds better if you just say roughly 10 weeks. WE CAN DO IT.
I rather like the sound of ~10 weeks...

And Shadow of Mordor has shifted to Nov 18 as well (PS3/360).
So yes it will certainly be an active day.
My DAI pre-order remains in place.

It's releasing in the same month as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and now Grand Theft Auto V. Regardless of anyone's views on any of the games releasing in November, it's a big month for games. Hot competition and lots of games to be playing. Can't wait. Got Call of Duty, Halo and Dragon Age pre-ordered. Bring on the games.

Let's clarify: Shadow of Mordor releases on Sept. 30 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It releases in November for last-gen consoles. So there's not really much competition there.
GTA5 is coming out on current-gen consoles in November, but I think most people who want GTA5 probably own GTA5 by now.
Far Cry 4 is a potential threat, but I think there's more of a chance of GTA leeching some of their customer base than Far Cry 4 stealing from DAI.

While all the games coming out could hurt DAI, it could also help. It means people are gearing up and saving for November, the chances of them raise that they could flip to DAI instead of something else. Especially if people already own GTA 5 when it came out, and are on the fence about getting it again just for some new sharks and animals.

OHHH, GTA is coming out on current gen consoles - I was so confused! And yeah, I don't think the releases here are going to be much of a problem. Is there all that much overlap between the audience who goes for DAI and the audience who goes for FC4 or GTA5, anyway?

Love DA, no competition.
Played Far Cry (1) - no more, done that.
Never played GTA, not interested.
Did play Saints Row IV - that's GTA with funny weapons and Lols yes?
EDIT: Quite right @EP...

I play both and will actually get both though I am not entirely sure I will get GTA V on release date but I definitely will be getting it.

User
hey, does every class has more than 200 abilities or is it that all the classes's abilities are more than 200 combined?
The game has over 200 abilities, passives and upgrades.

The Phenomenal Cosmic Power of Ramon Tikaram
It's one thing to voice a mage, quite another to bend the elements to your will. Ramon Tikaram, the voice of Dorian, has recently taken up the art of magic. Inspired by his character, he shows off some of the illusions and sleight of hand he's been practicing.
