But it's a spoiler, right? It's a spoiler for the book that has been out for several hours. So it counts. As a spoiler. But this is SO COOL!

As for the vallaslin (did I spell it right?) - do we even know how these are made? I mean, are these like the usual tattoos just with blood instead of ink?

I've always been under the impression they mix the blood with colored inks.  The inks could be found in the Dalish camps in both Origins and DA2.

I've had bruises that color. Also the blue color of the earlier elf inquisitor's vallaslin. Also yellow, red, and purple.

Last I checked, my blood isn't rainbow-colored, though maybe it's hiding its fabulous color-changing powers from me.

Well, I figure they've gotten as far as "these tats represent the gods" to provide meaning to why they have them... but haven't actually assigned any tat to any god specifically.

Indeed, I understand Mike Laidlaw has mentioned that they will not reveal which tattoo corresponds to which god.  And it seems like some may be updated now, or that there are additions to the previous ones, potentially?  It will be interesting to see what is available

Haven't read Last Flight, but I wouldn't be too worried about that. TME's blurb was about Orlesian politics, but the lore bombs had diddlysquat to do with Orlais.
