Ladies an Gentlemen, can we please talk about the discussion of race and colour somewhere else? preferably to PM's, otherwise you are likely going to get the thread locked.

Even the term "person of colour" is kind of offensive too, actually. White is a colour as well, just as black is (not to mention that white people aren't really 'white', and black people aren't really 'black'). Why are black people 'coloured', and white people aren't?
Or is it that black people are 'coloured' to white people because they're non-white, so white people are entitled to call them 'coloured', and vice versa for black people being entitled to call white people 'coloured'?
I suspect it has some degree of legacy and history, but given that members of the group have shared that it's an acceptable term to use for non-white ethnicities, it's the one I try to go with when it comes up.
I just wanted to give that clarification and as Typhrus hinted at, it's probably best not discussed here.

So do we know yet how the game is coming along in terms of going gold soon? I hope Bioware keeps the date for November 18th. I wasted a lot of vacation hours for October 7th cause I couldn't take them back, and I put my remaining vacation days in for the week of November 18th. If they delay the game again, then that's pretty much it. There's this vibe I've been getting from some dev comments that they're really cutting it close.

I get what you're saying and it annoys me too, but there are 16 shades of black. That's probably where the term comes from.

Looks like there's an interview with Cameron Lee in this month's Total Xbox magazine: http://www.totalxbox...ion-dragon-age/
The November issue of Official Xbox Magazine is so packed with insights about brilliant-seeming games that I worry it may explode in your hands. Seriously. If you see a mushroom cloud rise over the high street later today, it's probably because our enormous Sunset Overdrive, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Tom Clancy's The Division features have reacted together, achieving critical mass.
I'm particularly keen on our conversations with Respawn's Abbie Heppe and BioWare's Cameron Lee about the futures of Titanfall and Dragon Age, respectively - both are class acts.

I never really followed the development of a game as closely as this one, but you're right, it does seem like Bioware is really cutting it close for comfort.
That being said, I believe they have the game finished and all the major parts up and running, they're just dealing with bugs now.

Judging development progress by dev tweets doesn't sound too empirical, if I have to be honest.

I don't think they'll delay again. If worst comes to worst, and they don't manage to get it where they want it by certification time, I think they'll crank out a day 1 patch.

We know this for Last year. They mentioned a lot of times the problems with the new engine for an Rpg (because no Rpg was made before with Frostbite). It's just the general attitude from a lot of the devs that's all. Derek French for example recently mentioned how the new engine has been giving them a tough time.
I think the following bioware games will benefit from the Work the DA team made with the engine.

The game comes out in just under 2 months, there's still plenty of time before 'going gold'. For comparison The Last of Us went gold on May 15 for a June 14 release, Destiny on August 23 for September 9 and Watch Dogs on May 14 for May 27.

They aren't going to delay it again. If they did they would miss holiday sales, which would be a disaster.

*wishes she could be there for some DAMPing*
Ah well, I will live vicariously through twitter-god Hrungr's posts.
*sigh*
Still wishing BW had taken me up on my offer to test the game while I was stuck home after knee surgery (jk).....would have been glorious, and pain-med riddled weird......Now though, no time off for a "don't sleep until finished the game" playthrough.
