They're cutting it really close on the lack of information. I wonder if we'll just have a flood-gate and be drowned in information when they do unveil the game.
Yeah. The issue with say, having a massive info dump right around E3 is that there is a good chance people paying attention to video games then simply won't absorb all of the DA info they're releasing cause their attention will be split amongst the new hardware and the other new IPs and new nextgen games. It might just be a matter of logistics and the volume of info being released around E3 is such that people do just drown in information about DA3 but other interesting games and hardware too. To the extent that even a good looking game like maybe DA3 ends up getting short shrift.

They announced DA3 last year. They just haven't "unveiled" it yet. And yes, EA does have a say in when games they are paying for get announced/revealed and how they are marketed.
It was my impression that DA3 was only announced last year because the leaked surveys basically forced BioWare/EA's hand into saying something. If they had their way I don't think they'd have said anything at all.

Why would Microsoft pay EA to have a teaser of a cross-platform game take time away from exclusive and larger NextBox titles?
It makes no sense.
The question would be whether EA keeps DA multiplatform. Its likely a 99% chance it will, but EA is publishing Respawn's new game which is supposedly being locked down by Microsoft as an exclusive. That ties in to other rumors of EA and MS having some kind of exclusivity partnership. And with the news today of EA locking down exclusive rights to all Star Wars games plus their NFL exclusivity deal, EA is fond of exclusive deals. It may just be exclusive DLC or something since I really doubt even EA would try to make DA platform exclusive, but I wouldn't be shocked either.
