I just wanted to say how incredibly impressed I am by the character creator. This is by far the most in-depth and detailed character creation I have ever seen in a BioWare title. Heck, it's one of the most detailed I've seen from RPGs in general. The only slight criticism is there is no body scale and the capacity to manipulate things outside of the head. Other than that, absolutely stunning. I also was loving the two-handed warrior action and the fact that it's confirmed they can indeed tank. I am ready for this.

The elf is totally tempting me to roll an Elf first playthrough instead of Qunari  !

I have to admit though, I'm worried about combat in #DAI. Re-loading saves. Rage quitting. I don't wanna pause every battle to "set up"...

Just set it on Normal or Easy. I'm terrible and don't have to set up every battle. Hard, on the other hand, is truly difficult.

I wouldn't say that having less horn/hairstyles than you/some other user qualifies as 'half doing it'. Half-doing it, to me, means that the Qunari don't get a 'no horns' option at all, or only have two skin tones, or only get to be male.

 

And to make it clear, I do wish that there were more hairstyles for Qunari. I also wish that the Hero of Ferelden would be in-game. And that the Elf INquisitor didn't HAVE to be Dalish, and HAVE to have tattoos. And that there was an Orlesian accent for the PC voice. But looking at it objectively, I should probably be grateful I'm getting Qunari, Elves, and the American/British accents at all. Bioware could have just made another human protagonist with only one possible voice. Instead, they got another year and a half to develop.

 

And if they want another month and ten days to get rid of the bugs, then I am all for them taking that month. Death to bugs. Unless they're funny. Then record them BEFORE you exterminate them like the computerized vermin they are.

 

Then that's what half doing it means to you. Half doing it to me is when you attach rather lackluster styles to horns (nevermind the hair styles wouldn't clip with any of the horns you actually use since they're so short) meanwhile every other race gets a variation of short, long and medium.

 

Yeah it's hard to feel bad for them when they could bother animating a female elf exclusive romance...yet not give female Qunari one medium to long length hair style. I mean...clearly they had time to bother animating that but an extra hair model was beyond the pale?

 

I'm not asking for multiple long hairstyles. Just the one from the concept art (even if the hair was locked to that hornset) would've sufficed for me.

 

That at least we can agree on.
