The Witcher series has great games for those that love them, but around here Dragon Age is king.
If you don't agree then why are you here???
Anyway, back to those tweets.....

I like both series but it still bugs me that Witcher 1 never got a console version and that Witcher 2 was 360 only
Sure, but it's a fact that Geralt will have 10x the complexity of any Inquisition character, simplly because he's an existing character.
The benefit of having CC is obviously the customization, personally I prefer to have a well written protagonist with consistent character regardless of gender or size of adam's apple

Because DAI is a month away and TW3 is 5?
This is what I'm hoping it is. Like Zack Synder and JJ. Abrams competition. They're both working on two of the biggest films in cinematic history and promoting each other's films through friendly sparring.
Pretty much. The whole "rivalry" thing is a vocal minority of both fanbases; I've seen no indication BW and CDPR have anything but respect for the other.

I see you ripped of The Witcher with the new potion system @witchergame

There is no fact there, just your opinion.
I'm not even trying to be opinionated or anything: you can prefer whatever you like, that's completely fine I don't care.
I'm simply pointing out that when a character has already been established in books and stuff for decades, they're going to have more complexity, backstory and character than a blankstate character. It's not an insult - it's a fact. Embrace it, because some people prefer having blank state chars to headcanon with

Exactly, the rivalry is from the fans, not the actual developers
Anyway.... I wonder what they'll demo next. The mounts, maybe?
The White Wolf >>>
Hate to burst the collective bubble, but there it is.

you don't care yet you feel the need to push your opinion?
There is no fact there, just your opinion.
No it actually is a fact. Geralt has had 3 games and novels that have developed his character. He as a character has way more depth and backstory than the Inquisitor will. Who is the better character is up to the player, but make no mistake Geralt is the more fleshed out character.
I can imagine what would happen if someone just posted an image of one of the low res elven NPCs that were standing around Kirkwall in a response.
Or someone saying that Inquistion got slightly better graphics than The Witcher 2. Damn... the shitstorm of butthurt would be epic.
But noone sane would do that, thankfully.
Oh, you're right! The best response to assholes hassling you is to meekly suffer through it and go about your day. Especially if there's a thing you did that wasn't as well-received as the thing the other guys did, which should always be held against you.
****ing grow a pair, Kleon. I think one snarky tweet isn't an open declaration of war.
Anyway.... I wonder what they'll demo next. The mounts, maybe?
That would be awesome

Way to be a jerk. This is a forum, look up the meaning.

Ouch, shots fired... And on the day Chris Priestly tweeted the announcement that his new job is as NA Community Manager for CD Projekt, no less.
so why is the tweet thread a base for a silly wich game is better.I plan to buy them both and play them both and i already like them both...so let's get back to what this thread should really be about
Because DAI is a month away and TW3 is 5?
Okay, good for you then. Different strokes for different folks etc.
Just a warning: EP and Allan are going to swoop in soon and smack everyone with the take-the-discussion-elsewhere stick. This is my last post on this stuff.
I don't think this is the place to discuss the complexities of Geralt's character.
I for once, think he's fairly average compared to giants such as Morrigan or Isabela in terms of behavioral and emotional complexities. In terms of protagonists, I think RPGs are purer where you are able to role-play your own fantasy character, not a written one that has a set gender/sexuallity/etc.
Though this is not the place or time to talk about it.
There is no fact there, just your opinion.
Actually it is a consequence of allowing the players to create and customize their own characters. Call it the price of freedom of choice.
