EP has to make this his avatar on here now.
That'd be hilarious lol. I feel it should also be stated that without him this thread would probably detail into the void of no return.

And for those interested, DAI will be released November 18 in Asia "except for a few places".

Finished Cassandra! Hand's dead. @dragonage @PatrickWeekes @Mike_Laidlaw @davidgaider @MattRhodesArt
Spoiler
Cass look like she's about to vanquish some evil.
#DillTheDarkspawn cares not!
Do not attempt to hug #DillTheDarkspawn. He's cranky and attempts to take souvenirs in the form of fleshy bits.
gameplay testers are now reciting "who's on first" #TaintMadness
Hey, you started it, not me.

It's okay. Just ignore and go rant to a friend. It's better that way.

Well it's 3:00 am here so that makes ranting to a friend hard.
I'll just quietly grumble.

Then we can rant together...somewhere that's not here ![]()

Dissent is the greatest form of patriotism.
You think I'm giving BioWare a hard time because I enjoy it? Hell no. I'm doing it because I want them to see where they're failing. I'm excited for Inquisition. And I WANT to love the hell out of it because it looks like a genuinely good game. And that is why I was legitimately disheartened when I saw how pitiful the CC was
Huh? how was the CC pitiful, it looked great IMO
He means the qunari hair options

And I WANT to love the hell out of it because it looks like a genuinely good game. And that is why I was legitimately disheartened when I saw how pitiful the CC was. You can't improve a developer or a game by constantly sugar-coating everything and putting in an ounce of criticism for every pound of praise. In other words, I am doing this out of love. And if I am doing this out of love, what the hell does that make you?
Yeah, well, Thomas Jefferson also said market capitalism was incompatible with freedom.
I mean as long as we're using completely irrelevant, widely-separated from their context quotes, from people who died two-hundred years ago, to justify armchair development of a luxury good the likes of which their speakers could not begin to fathom, I figured I'd throw that in there. Food for thought!

We can make elves dark-skinned/black right? And for elves, are we able to fade their tattoos so they're not visible?
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
Dark skin: yes, my first Inquisitor looked like that. Vallaslin can vary in intensity but always visible.
Someone should ask Weekes about the availability of black hairstyles for female characters then. I would, but no twitter!
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for. Hair style and Hair color are on separate sliders. And we've seen black hair in the demo the other day...

I think veeia meant black/african hairstyles, like fro-y hair

I hope they have some decent-looking dreadlocks.

Ahh... gotcha. ![]()
I'm very curious about black hairstyles as well. Especially for female characters. I kept waiting for them to go further along the hair slider but alas.

MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
Minor derail since I see it come up sometimes and moreso in light of Aaryn's tweet. The idea of there being a feud or anything between us and CDPR is overstated. Fans of each franchise get passionate and there's brand loyalty and competition for wanting your brand to be better received or whatnot, but just on my own behalf I've had pleasant exchanges with Witcher devs on this very forum: http://forum.bioware...0#entry13680876 (although I believe Jan has moved on now).
Sure we compete and I'd be lying if I said I didn't hope "our game did better" but in the RPG space we both offer similar, though different, products in a space of gaming that isn't saturated with titles. I expect to play their game when it is released, I hope they are interested in playing ours. I see some of DAI's most ardent fans also excitedly tweeting for news for the upcoming Witcher game as well. There are lots of fans that are fans of both.
So there we go. Continue with the regularly scheduled discussion.
