I know it's a little picky and I know it's marketing but the numbers are slightly miss leading because things stop being available when you make particular choices.

For example, there aren't four voices available to everyone. It's two voices per gender.

There is of course immense customization and I am super happy about that in general. I am not having a go at the devs, or the game, I just think marketing a being overly simple and it's slightly miss leading.

Err, that just really nitpicky. Everybody has the option to play either gender so we all have 4 voices to choose from. Unless the game locks you out of playing a gender opposite of your own (which it won't), marketing is saying nothing misleading.

I'm actually glad to repeatedly see the previous weapon models.  Makes me excited for what new ones they've come up with.  Everything doesn't have to be spoiled.  Interesting in the article they confirm that the health potions are shared while everything else is an individual loadout.  I wonder how broad the types of potions we can get will be.

BTW for those who plan to purchase the game from MS I asked Laidlaw about preorder bonuses.  He was kind enough to answer and say he wasn't sure.  So I spoke with MS support who was kind enough to forward my question to the Marketing team.  They said we can definitely expect DA:I to be available for preorder and purchased directly through Xbox One at midnight.  The specific bonuses haven't been negotiated yet but they said it will be a list unique to MS.  Whatever that means.  Apologies if this is old information.

It means Microsoft wants preorder items exclusive for the Xbone and are still negotiating what exactly those items will be.

Oh I understood that.  My statement was moreso saying "Don't get excited it doesn't mean their list will be better than Gamestop or Bestbuy".

Huh.

Since the iconic piece of armour for the Inquisitor is the helmet, I wonder if the Qunari Inquisitors' variant will be as distinctive or along the same theme as it.

I agree, it is nitpicky.

At the beginning of the game there are four possible Inquisitors if we consider gender and voice. Nothing to fuss about.

Maybe using numbers to illustrate this point is not the best idea, because people get all worked up about them. Still, the underlying message is the same: there's a lot you can customise - emphasis on a lot.

Here's the HR version of that...

Weapon%20Crafting%2002.jpg

I'm guessing the "Dissolving" refers to the Barrier Damage attribute, and the "Resolute" refers to the +damage when not being hit for 5 seconds.

Well. I may be wrong but based on that screenshot I would say we know what items we can customize in the stronghold. I am fairly content. It actually reminds me of overlord 2 themes where you could change major things like bed, flags, etc.

As for weapons I like having cool gear and variety but I haven't found it to be to much of a issue. 30 mounts hmm? 30 playthroughs Challenge accepted.

Derek Hollan @Derek_Hollan

I will be curious to see how quickly someone posts an Inquisitor online that looks like The Joker once we ship. May have to start a pool.

so.....will we actually be able to change the colors of our armor and weapons?  or is color still based on metal type?

what about the "designs" on the armor ( like the Flame Sword on the Templar armor ) or the non metal parts of the armor ( like Templar "skirt" )?

will we be able to change the colors of those too?

The colours change based on the materials used for crafting. If you use Nug skin for Something if might give the item (or the part of the item you used the Nug skin for) a pink colour.

Based on the interview it sounds like there are multiple 'slots' in which we put crafting materials into. Perhaps the primary slot effects the primary color, and secondary slots effect other colors, like the fabric or leather portions of armor.

What class would a Joker Inquisitor take? I'm going to say Rogue, since he's kind of a Gadget Villain (knives, acid, Joker gas, etc.) and too lean for a Warrior.

Myself, I was always more of a Scarecrow fan. That's why I love Cole's hat.

You probably don't want a guy with brittle bones to be your tank.

Will not be using Fennec fur for anything....I am going to make it through the entire game without killing one.
