Many next gen games are probably not on the list because of nondisclosure agreements ...

http://www.ign.com/a...fdea53c3000001f

Per EA Labels president Frank Gibeau:

"regarding next generation consoles, we are under a non-disclosure agreement with our platform partners. However, we’re planning a full reveal at E3 including more next-generation titles in development for fiscal year 2014."

I was thinking this also. It's unclear whether the list of 11 games refers to cross-generation titles, or if games being made solely for next-gen boxes have their own list.

It might even point to DA3 being an exclusively next-gen game, who knows. The LinkedIn page of that Chinese level designer from EA Shanghai did mention that the decision was made to turn DA3 into a "marquee next-gen RPG".

We'll just have to wait and see, there should be more clarity in just over a month.

Ah, but I do love a holiday/winter release. Getting my game on next to a roaring fireplace. All cold outside. Maybe a lil brandy. Aw heck who am I kidding definitely sum brandy.

Personally, I'd love if DA3 came out this holiday season, for purely personal reasons. My birthday is at the end of November, and no one will make me interact with people if what I want to do on my birthday is play some Dragon Age instead.

Alternatively, my husband's birthday is in March; Awakening, DA2, and ME3 all came out very close to my husband's birthday (sometimes even, say, the day before), so I didn't play them at first. After months of sitting on the forums waiting for news and scraps of info, this was especially tragic and hilarious.

Purely selfish reasons, of course, but if DA3 were to, erm, not come out in March, I'd be happy.

And, of course, yay news at E3! Super stoked.

I'll hold my hopes, maybe we'll get "info" related about gameplay, or more concept art. Nobody said anything about in-game footage

I'm still going with 30 second teaser trailer.

Chase Boyajian is definitely making some sort of trailer, so that'll air at some point during E3.
While we're indulging in speculation, I think a ten to twenty minute gameplay demo. :wizard:

Either that, or a CGI trailer with a release date. :o Regardless, we'll get more information.

You know, the tweets only said that they'll 'show' DA3 at E3. They didn't say reveal. That could mean the reveal is going to happen before E3.

I could be reading too much into it but still, something to think about.

Wow.. I can't wait for E3!

Sorry, probably a couple in here you guys have already posted...

Tim Griffith:
Today is both my birthday and my first Bioversary. All in all, it should be a good day.

[Happy Annibirthday!]

Aaryn Flynn:
We're going to be at E3 to talk about #DA3! Can't wait to show some things to everyone.

Cameron Lee:
Will DA3 be at E3? Yes indeed! We'll show something for sure #DA3

Mike Laidlaw:
Oh good. We've confirmed that we'll be at E3 to show stuff. That's great!

Aaryn Flynn:
@Mike_Laidlaw Yep, should be fun

Ash Matheson:
@AarynFlynn @Mike_Laidlaw Does that mean I get to do the V/O for any trailers we do?

Mike Laidlaw:
@nuclearfossil @AarynFlynn "Well, hello there. I'm Ash Matheson. Stick with me as we take a smooth ride through an age of dragons."

Aaryn Flynn:
@Mike_Laidlaw @nuclearfossil I can practically hear the soft jazz

John Epler:
@Mike_Laidlaw @nuclearfossil @AarynFlynn 'Look at all those spells. Yeah. See that smoooooth casting.'

Aaryn Flynn:
@eplerjc @Mike_Laidlaw @nuclearfossil "I've been feelin' fiiiiiine, baby..."

Ash Matheson:
@AarynFlynn @eplerjc @Mike_Laidlaw Don't make me go Barry White on your asses!

John Epler:
So we're going to be showing something at E3. That is all.

John Epler:
And now, back to doing SUPER SECRET THINGS. I'd like to tell you about them, and someday, I will.

John Epler:
Right now, though, I'm just gonna down this entire massive cup of coffee.

Aaryn Flynn:
@eplerjc You probably need it

Mike Laidlaw:
I was unclear! Yes, there will be some DAIII at E3. Not just "stuff." DAIII stuff.

Mike Laidlaw:
Perhaps this will surprise you: It turns out that a number of my followers are into Dragon Age. #Shocking ;)

Mary Kirby:
When @NoodlyDoom stops by just to tell me how much he hates one of my characters, it makes my day. #WritersPit #EmotionalHooligan

Blair Brown:
Ugh, thank god, can finally say we're going to be at E3 with some #DA3 thangs.

Chris Priestly:
What are positive terms for a "fan"? There are plenty of negatives, but I'm looking for positive synonyms. Could be gaming, sports, TV, etc.

[Supporter, admirer. Groupie :D]

Raylene Deck:
Said goodbye to the ME guys (and Cathleen! -sorry about the female ratio decreasing my 50%..) and saying hello to the Dragon Age team! Sniff

[welcome, Raylene!]

Raylene Deck:
Icebreaker: laser tag with my new #DA3 team. Now that we've shot each other numerous times, I think we'll get along just fine. :)

*squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee* :o:O:O Yay! Now at least we know when there will be DA3 news *dances* :wizard:

As for all the other tweets here...seriously, I love these folk! Hehe . I used to play laser tag a lot when I was younger, is it weird that I think playing laser tag with the Dragon Age people would be so totally awesome?

Clicking expand on that tweet is so worth it and now I'm wondering if Mary is responsible for Sister Petrice (just because it's the only character I ever wanted to punch everytime she spoke).

I wondered that as well - and I noticed they specified the character in question was female. Assuming said character is a companion - a large assumption, I know, but let me just roll with it for a second...From the leaked synopsis and accompanying character art, that narrows it down to the unknown Rivaini scribe girl, Cassandra, or the elven rogue who is described as a brat (Who is the most immediate suspect due to the wording used).
While it's highly likely the chacter being discussed there is not a companion, there's an equal chance that they are.
In any case, I'm looking forward too it. I love Ms. Kirby's writing and can't wait to see more from her - if she write a character I love to hate I'll be thrilled!

Not sure how you came to the conclusion that it's a female character. No where in the quote does it specify.

There's a whole conversation and it including this:

Frank Gordon @NoodlyDoom

@axl99 @BioMaryKirby All I want is an interrupt to slap that character. Every time she speaks.

I didn't notice at the time but Gibeau's line about Bioware's showing off new games at E3 comes right after the part where he says they can't talk about next-gen titles due to NDAs:

"Regarding next-generation consoles, we are under a non-disclosure agreement with our platform partners, however, we're planning a full reveal at E3 including more next-generation titles in development for FY14," Gibeau said. "This will include breakthroughs in graphics and gameplay for some of our biggest franchises including Battlefield, FIFA, Madden, NBA Live and Need for Speed. We plan to unveil new titles from EA Sports, BioWare and DICE and a first look at some brand new games."

Notice the FY14 reference, also.

Yeah I just posted that in the E3 thread.

It seems clear to me that DA3 is still planned for 2013, but I'm sure that won't stop BasilCarlo from arguing against the fact.

Wait, new titles from DICE? But if Battlefield 4 is already announced can that mean a different game?

He seems to include announcements of new games and reveals of already-announced games in the one sentence, which makes it hard to tell whether those studios actually have new stuff.

The Polygon article thinks a new Mirror's Edge is a possibility from DICE, running on Frostbite 3.

Devs on the next Mass Effect seemed to suggest they wouldn't be talking about that game for about a year, so I'm struggling to think of what Bioware could even announce. Casey Hudson's new IP, maybe?

Well a new Mirror's Edge is what i'm hoping for

anyway, didn't that tweet from a couple of weeks ago say Bioware had 4 videos for E3? 1 is definetely DA3 and one is the C&C abomination, so assuming neither has more than one video we might see both Casey's IP and the new ME

Well DA3 will definitely be one of the Bioware games they talk about.

Not sure if they have more than that. Hudson's new IP seems like it was in an even earlier state than the next Mass Effect. I kind of doubt it would be shown, but I'd be excitied if it does.
