I'm really excited now! And since summer will be starting for me soon, I'll have plenty of time to get through my DA:O let's play, maybe even start my DA2 let's play. Maybe even finish them just in time for the release of Dragon Age 3.

I'm going out on a limb, more wishful thinking at this point, but that the reason they mentioned only next-gen stuff is because that is the new hotness, but DAIII is coming to current-gen and next-gen. Far too early for them to make it next-gen only. If the consoles were 2 or 3 years old, possibly. That said, all the next-gen only mentions and not a hint from EA about DAIII coming this fiscal year is a little concerning...

Besides, from the sounds of the report, BioWare will be talking about A) that new IP they talked about a while back, or the next Mass Effect.

Hehe, I had a similar experience when I first found out!  ...except I live in a forest so I don't have any neighbours, I could scream as loud as I wanted to 

Lucky, I live in the city so everyone can hear everyone, a lot of people complained about my screaming , but it was so worth it. I'll be screaming even louder when I see what they have to show for E3:D:D:D:D:D:D:wizard:

Has their been any info on, if our old saves will transfer, or will it be like da2 started where you could choose DAO outcome if you didn't transfer a save. (not to mention with the exception of PC how will they transfer to new consoles.)

If I am not mistaken, the developers said that they were, at one point, looking into new methods for transferring saves. Whether or not this bore any fruit remains to be seen.

He's obviously referring to you.  Not that that excuses him calling you out, nor your response to the post.

As a note, this thread has some posters (as in multiple people) that are inches away from receiving temp bans as I catch up on this thread, because their contributions have in large part been nothing but pedantic and have only made me frustrated while reading them.

If someone wants to doubt that we're releasing this year... that's fine. If other people feel it's the most reasonable thing to assume Fall... that's also fine.

Prove to me that you're capable of respecting each other's different perspectives, and not flamebaiting each other with childish, passive aggression, or I will enact timeouts since some of you are effectively behaving like children and are showing me that you frankly need something like that.

How I read that is that they'll "unveil" and have "first looks" at those new, unveiled titles, like DA3 and whatever non BF game DICE is working on or EA Sports' nextgen games on their new engine.

I don't take that as meaning BioWare is going to be showing off anything that is not Dragon Age 3. Especially given how EA did not even mention Dragon Age 3 by name during the conference call, the BioWare game being alluded to by Gibeau is likely DA3. Like you said, its simply way too early to talk about any future ME game and I doubt whatever new IP they're maybe working on would be in a state to show anything or announce.

Frank Gibeau did confirm that EA's next generation plans, including Battlefield 4 and the upcoming Star Wars
titles, will hinge on the new Frostbite 3 engine. According to Gibeau, we'll be seeing more next-gen titles, including something from BioWare, running on the new technology at E3.

You know I am slowly starting to get excited about DA:3 slowly mind you.
Bioware dragon age team has great writers in it and I'm looking forward to the party banter within the game call me crazy but I find the interactions most enjoyable :/

The banter was one of DA2's redeeming qualities IMO. I really enjoyed replaying quests with different companions for that reason.

I have to agree, DA:2 hit the banter to a new level of yayness ^^.
but I just wish we could hear the banter during battle, or have them stop talking during battle and continue after it finishes, then we wont miss out on the banters .

Also I heard DA team are thinking of new ways for the pc to interact with others during banter hour I so hope it's true

I can absolutely agree on that! The banter is something i always look forward to and one of the reasons why i often go back to previous games and try new combinations and hear new banter

I'm hoping they announce that they're starting on a new Star Wars single-player game.  Battlefront, maybe?  :happy:

Wasn't it announced that Bioware developing a Star Wars game was part of some deal between EA and the owner of the IP after the closing of Lucasarts?
