Reavers are warriors who use blood magic to give themselves power. It is believed that like blood magic, humanity learned how to harness this ability through Demons. To become a Reaver one must traditionally drink the blood of a dragon in a ritual, similar to the Joining. Alternatively, wyvern blood may be used instead of a dragon's to achieve the same effect in the Reaver ritual.

There probably are SOME relations to Demons, but you do not need to console them directly.

Wait...Whaat?

Iron bull Reaver? o.00?

Isn't he like terrified of demons and blood magic?

Wasn't it even hinted somewhere that Qunari as a Race have originated from dragons somewhere down the line?

That would explain how they may have discovered the secrets of the Reaver blood magic without learning it from a Demon.

Very interesting.

Yes, I remember now.The main way to become a reaver is to drink dragon blood as the forumites have reminded me.

I was mistaken since my warrior warden became a reaver by making a deal with a demon so it meddled with my perception of the process of becoming a reaver.

It stated 'It is believed'. We don't know for sure.
Regardless, Qunari seems to be related by Dragons, so their learning of the Reaver abilities might've been different from humans.

You mean dragon blood, right?
Anyway, I think Reavers in DAO actually became such by drinking wyvern's Blood.

Pretty sure you're sarcastic.

The Warden becomes a Reaver by defiling the Urn of the Sacred Ashes, after which he or she is given the opportunity by Kolgrim.

A Mage Warden may, however, become a Blood Mage by making a deal with the Desire Demon during The Arl of Redcliffe.

In none of the two, you drink demon blood.

I was reading the C&C Q&A and started wondering something. Can we change the Inquisitor's casual clothing?

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

Not currently. Maybe later.

I hoped it would be casual clothing when you are in the keep/home :(

Your character does switch to casual clothing (a la DA2 I assume) but you can't change what it looks like.

Will the Inquisitor have civilian or casual clothing to wear while at Skyhold? —Pierrick Boyet Trinity, Facebook, France

[ML]: While you're in Skyhold, your Inquisitor will be in more casual wear, yes

Yay :D

I don't mind that. From the looks of it the casual wear seems to be to my liking. I very much liked the outfit in Dragon Age II.

In other news, my parents were cleaning out the attic today and I found an old toy of mine, which appears to be an interpretation of Blinky.

It seems odd if we'll have to switch to a single "casual" option, when it seems like a lot of the mage and rogue equipment would work fine as casual wear any way.

Well it seems to work nicely as a distinction in-game between a hostile and non-hostile situation.

And yes, though I don't know why.

Oh, it's from Power Rangers? That could explain why I had no idea what it is.

EDIT: Oh wow I found a picture of Eye Guy...

Monster009.JPG

Yeah I prefer my version, where I called him Argus and pretended he was that dude from Greek mythology.

But anyways, sorry for going off-topic for a bit here.

Yeah, trust me, I had an obsession with that show for way longer than appropriate. I still hold a soft spot for the pink ranger, who to this day I am not if she is the exception to or reason for my homosexuality.

The casual wear at Skyhold is a nice touch, though given it's still a military outpost I would expect it not to be the same level of casual as Hawke's Heff outfit. I've risen back to a peak in my excitement for DA:I, it's driving me crazy!

EDIT: Whoops, that's now two double posts in a row. That'll teach me for trying to post from my phone. Thank you Despair Demon

You can actually hide posts on the new site. But I'm not sure if you can do it on your phone.

You Have to use the full site version. If you use the mobile version (you have both on the phone) you can't use it, I think.

Lots of lovely pictures!

Yay,followers can wear the Flames of The Inquisition armor!

Actually, thanks to the last stream, stuff from the Flames of Inquisition pack is called 'x of the Dragon'. But it's worthwhile to point out that no schematic is tied to a certain character.

I think it's worth mentioning that there appears to be, to me, a difference between the 'classic' Inquisitor helmet we've been seeing in all the pictures and trailers and such, and the Flames Of The Inquisition/X Of The Dragon helmet.  I think they are two different helmets that look very similar.  Firstly, it would be frankly nonsensical for that iconic helmet to only be available to people with the deluxe game (or the FotI, if set bought later).  Secondly, the helmet in the images for the Flames set looks different to the 'normal' one; it's more scaly, with some extra gold to it.

...Just wanted to point that out.

Not understanding the grammar. Does this mean the game is ready to ship, or still getting it ready so it can ship?
