I'm going to be out of town with very spotty internet access during E3, so I'm really hoping much video/audio/news is posted so I can catch up afterward.. :crying:

I'm hoping they announce that they're starting on a new Star Wars single-player game.  Battlefront, maybe?

Wasn't it announced that Bioware developing a Star Wars game was part of some deal between EA and the owner of the IP after the closing of Lucasarts?

BioWare is already taking care of SWTOR.

Not that I heard, just that EA signs a deal with Disney getting exclusive control over Star Wars game development.

ETA: Yeah, if you mean SWTOR that's been released and awesome for almost a year and a half.  That's why I want them to tackle a single player game in-universe.

Me, too. It's amazing how much replay value banter gives a game. For me anyway. And truth is, I still hear new stuff.

I want this! A BW-style Star Wars SP game.

Maybe it's a SWTOR expansion? Like a large-scale Burning Crusade one? It seems about the right time to release something like that. WoW's first expansion was a bit more than two years after it's release. A trailer for it would work well right about now.

Frank Gibeau did confirm that EA's next generation plans, including Battlefield 4 and the upcoming Star Wars
titles, will hinge on the new Frostbite 3 engine. According to Gibeau, we'll be seeing more next-gen titles, including something from BioWare, running on the new technology at E3.

This is very exciting news! E3 can't get here fast enough.:)

It E3 is one of few occasions when the qunari Dragon Age fans are permitted to engage in... revelry. There is imbibing of spirits, public chanting, meditations abandoned... it is madness. It can take days for the Ben-Hassrath forum moderators to restore order. There may be even executions. If by executions, you mean perma bans... then yes, I'd say that's quite likely!

Wow.. I can't wait for E3!

Sorry, probably a couple in here you guys have already posted...

Tim Griffith:
Today is both my birthday and my first Bioversary. All in all, it should be a good day.

[Happy Annibirthday!]

Aaryn Flynn:
We're going to be at E3 to talk about #DA3! Can't wait to show some things to everyone.

Cameron Lee:
Will DA3 be at E3? Yes indeed! We'll show something for sure #DA3

Mike Laidlaw:
Oh good. We've confirmed that we'll be at E3 to show stuff. That's great!

Aaryn Flynn:
@Mike_Laidlaw Yep, should be fun

Ash Matheson:
@AarynFlynn @Mike_Laidlaw Does that mean I get to do the V/O for any trailers we do?

Mike Laidlaw:
@nuclearfossil @AarynFlynn "Well, hello there. I'm Ash Matheson. Stick with me as we take a smooth ride through an age of dragons."

Aaryn Flynn:
@Mike_Laidlaw @nuclearfossil I can practically hear the soft jazz

John Epler:
@Mike_Laidlaw @nuclearfossil @AarynFlynn 'Look at all those spells. Yeah. See that smoooooth casting.'

Aaryn Flynn:
@eplerjc @Mike_Laidlaw @nuclearfossil "I've been feelin' fiiiiiine, baby..."

Ash Matheson:
@AarynFlynn @eplerjc @Mike_Laidlaw Don't make me go Barry White on your asses!

John Epler:
So we're going to be showing something at E3. That is all.

John Epler:
And now, back to doing SUPER SECRET THINGS. I'd like to tell you about them, and someday, I will.

John Epler:
Right now, though, I'm just gonna down this entire massive cup of coffee.

Aaryn Flynn:
@eplerjc You probably need it

Mike Laidlaw:
I was unclear! Yes, there will be some DAIII at E3. Not just "stuff." DAIII stuff.

Mike Laidlaw:
Perhaps this will surprise you: It turns out that a number of my followers are into Dragon Age. #Shocking ;)

Mary Kirby:
When @NoodlyDoom stops by just to tell me how much he hates one of my characters, it makes my day. #WritersPit #EmotionalHooligan

Blair Brown:
Ugh, thank god, can finally say we're going to be at E3 with some #DA3 thangs.

Chris Priestly:
What are positive terms for a "fan"? There are plenty of negatives, but I'm looking for positive synonyms. Could be gaming, sports, TV, etc.

[Supporter, admirer. Groupie :D]

Raylene Deck:
Said goodbye to the ME guys (and Cathleen! -sorry about the female ratio decreasing my 50%..) and saying hello to the Dragon Age team! Sniff

[welcome, Raylene!]

Raylene Deck:
Icebreaker: laser tag with my new #DA3 team. Now that we've shot each other numerous times, I think we'll get along just fine. :)

So will they reveal the release date at E3?

Unknown at this time.. we don't know what they're going to do or have there. Just that it will be DA:I-related.

The wording wasn't very clear, it seemed to mean that Bioware's existing Austin studio would keep working on SWTOR while the other two EA developers made new Star Wars games. We don't really know at this point, although it appears all of Bioware's other studios are already busy with other things (DA3, the next ME, Casey Hudson's new IP).

Both DA3 and the new IP are being developed at Edmonton, so it's possible the other studios have multiple teams as well.

If they don't reveal the Release Date (or even a vague "November 2013" or something along those lines), then I'd say its safe that we won't get it in 2013.

EA's presentation is on June 10, E3 is on June 11-13.

Also, tomorrow is May 10, which mean Spring Review Day. :wizard:

The banter between party members is one of the most awesome and hilarious things in  the DA games! :D I've cracked up so many times I can't even count...in DAO, my favourite banter was often between Alistair and Oghren or Leliana and Sten. The second game, Varric and Isabela never fail to make me laugh no matter how many times I play it
