Almost sounds like a breach in the Veil... I'd forgotten about that quote.

(I just checked and Yavana in The Silent Grove also refers to a time before the Veil, when dragons were far more powerful.)

I hope you remember that Velanna feel repulsion for Humans.

Carver and merril.. I really didn't see anything strong going on, merril was always lost in her own mind, Sebastian and Bethany now thats something I was so against, Sebastian is not someone to be trusted and for that people who had him as companion should have been able to kill him just before he leave Kirkwall.

Thats another thing I didn't like of da2 ending.. meh what a f joke.

Companion getting together is not that bad it just has to make sense of why this 2 character wants to get close.

Carver often asks question of Merrill and it's obvious he likes her, she's always a mess but she almost ALWAYS thinks Carver is making a dirty pass at her which might be because she wants him to but she's pretty naive about it. I thought they would make a very cute couple. 

I always wanted Sebastian as an LI, I hope they make it so for our next character.

Templar/Warden Carver pretty successfully flirts with Isabela, too.

Also, if you don't romance either of them, Fenris and Isabela become Friends With Benefits.

I really liked all of that. Made my party members seem like actual characters with their own lives rather than just paper dolls waiting for me to click "add to party"

Add into that how I can't see him being with her as a Templar and the interparty relationships being overdone with those two in a relationship, and I'm opposed to it from a writing perspective.

I liked the Sebastian and Bethany romance, because there's a mutual attraction going on between them and though Sebastian is wrong in how he views the Kirkwall situation, he's not a fanatic like Karras, Alrik, or Meredith. He will fight for the Mages -- and will help the Divine who wants to help the Mages -- and I see him as being a far more useful ally for the Mages then Anders ever would be.

You don't get to have sex with him in-game, but I think as the last true heir of Starkhaven intent on taking back his land alongside his love Hawke, he would in fact have children.

Wow, I so did not get that impression. If you listen to Carver's dialogues with Isabela, especially in Legacy and MoTA, he is extremely forward and overtly sexual. Not so with Merrill. Those banters were actually the few times I found Carver sort of endearing and sweet, as he's just too shy to say what's really on his mind. And when Isabela picks up on this, Carver doesn't seem too happy about her scheming to hook him up with Merrill. "She's not a game of cards!" If I felt like anyone was being emotionally manipulative, it was Merrill. It was always my impression she knew what was going on, right from her very first banter with Carver when she says, "I miss a lot of dirty things and sometimes I wouldn't mind hearing them." Merrill is such a troll. 

I'd always kind of hoped to see something more develop between the two of them, but then I liked the pairing and didn't think a relationship would seem so unnatural. Not any more unnatural than, say, Fenris sleeping with a woman who associates with slavers. Or Merrill never leaving the side of a pro-templar, arulin'holm-denying Hawke.

Actually, I believe it's implied that the marriage is chaste even with the rivalry path, but it's left somewhat ambiguous.

Yes, you never actually sleep with Sebastian, but you can romance him in game. Just don't click flirt icons for anyone else.....ever (might be harder for some characters *cough* Anders *cough*)

Chris Priestly said a little while ago that the team was planning on showing some things, and that they wanted to reward Edmontonians (?) who came to the Expo with some exclusive DA3 hints or tidbits.

Not sure if those plans are still going ahead, but yes, as far as I know they will be mentioning DA3.
