It's kind of funny the way things have changed. I sort of miss the days of there being active community managers on the forums for just this reason; someone just liasing with the community on a regular basis who can intercept and answer some of the more general questions so that people don't have to be bombarding the devs on Twitter 500 times a day. Social media is great and all but the forums are still a hugely active part of the wider community and it's where a lot of people still seek out official answers. Now it feels like we're just kind of some meandering raccoon horde rummaging through the trash for scraps and occasionally we make enough noise to wake the home owners and my analogy really kind of went in a weird direction there, sorry about that. Still sick.
I like the idea... knowledgeable, active Community Manager(s) would definitely help take some of the load off the other Devs. Of course, I wouldn't envy anyone who took that job. We'd be placing bets on how long it'd take the BSN to break them... ![]()
