wow!  that's just............ :pinched:

I think what he meant with the rogue comment was that only the rogue inquisitor could close rifts. He doesn't seem to realize the Inquisitor is not a set character like the other companions.

In other words, he probably hasn't even watched gameplay of Dragon Age, ever.

I personally think it's totally adorable.

... When he mentioned that there are four classes, the tank (you're kidding me), the rogue, the mage and the archer... all I was thinking is: one, you didn't check the character pages IN GAME, did you? Two, you didn't check the inventory system either, otherwise you might have noticed that the 'rogue' could wield a bow too. Forget about doing/not doing research, this guy barely looked at the interface.

Hey... at least he thinks that it's fun... I guess...

It's kind of strange to be honest, I can understand Dragon Age not being his cup of tea and that's perfectly fine. But the series is still a big deal. I don't know how you can manage to never see anything on it.

Not that it matters, people who don't like Dragon Age aren't going to change their minds because of some really bad gameplay.

At this point, Bioware games are either a love them or hate them thing for most people. There really isn't much in between since they got with EA.

I dunno, depending on the sites you go to you can miss a lot of info about DAI.

Gamefront and Forbes for example have had almost nothing lately about DAI. (haven't checked since yesterday)

Quick question about something that made me curious regarding the front-page of the Twitter thread here when it comes to listing the jobs of the dev team.

Where are all the programmers? Or do all of these guys have to know how to code and stuff as well, in addition to their main job?

When making video games I always assumed the most time consuming, aggravating and toughest job was writing code and do programming stuff. But none of the employees have that in the job description. Is this a case of where the hardest working people doing the "brunt" of the job dont get credit?

sort of like... if a captain and the main crew of a space ship gets credit and the engineers dont. Not trying to undermine the importance of anyone's job, I know little to nothing of game development. Just curious.

I'm not saying that EA shouldn't approach new market at all but why.. why on earth would you pick these people.. I lost it when he said 'only rogues can shut down rifts'.

I just want to say your avatar goes Great to your post.

I think it's Anders' voice actor from DAOA,and is now voicing Cullen.

Im pretty sure it was adam howden, anders da2 VA. But i could be wrong, guess we'll have to wait and see when the games released :D

Actually, Adam Howden (Anders' DA2 VA) did tweet this a few months ago:

However, look at the date...

The dev twitter listing is really not at all indicative of the size & ratio of roles/positions on the team. There are indeed a lot of programmers (though designers and tech QA can sometimes dip into the codebase from time to time, depending). I know a lot of our programmers are on twitter, but don't necessarily tweet game stuff or just aren't as active. Too busy neck deep in the matrix!

You now get a glimpse of what developing the game is like, and why some things wind up the way they do. Hint: it's not just "that youtuber" not having a clue, it's also what you get out of the average playtester(s) and gaming population at large.

The game probably has tutorial, which explains everything but I don't think anybody outside Bioware had a chance to play it. Which means, either game is not that intuitive to pick up or the people playing it are just that stupid.

10 Hit Darkspawn with sword

20 If Darkspawn dead?  Then Goto 40

30 Goto 10

40 Print text "Hell yeah!"

I could easily work for BioWare with my programming prowess as evidenced by the code above.
