Around 16 minutes in the video starts the peaceful Solas bug. Meaning he just stands there and watches the party fight while doing nothing.

Is this game in beta yet?

Is it a bug or a tactics thing? Because in Origins, if you don't set them to 'aggressive' or give them orders, the companions will just hang out until they get hit.

It was an obvious bug, Solas didn't cast barrier or use any spells at all. He wasn't even in "battle stance".

That just makes the game's value increases, more content for less money. But I can tell I'm going to be having fun with this... for a while.

i find it curious that people want to limit customization options in games based upon their *own* preferences. Are you that incapable of exercising self-restraint? Dont like bearded ladies, dont like indepth customization? There is this simple thing called *dont use that option*, i know its shocking and revolutionary. In ws 2 there were shrines that would give you attritbute points and you had a large subset bitching about it being "unbalanced", instead of just avoiding these shrines altogether, they had to insist that nobody else should have the option. *if i dont want that option, nobody else should!*

you know - Spell effects  skills effects. Really annoying.

I doubt it.

I'm a fan of them myself, but I can see why people would find them distracting.

It is my hope that at least some of the FX will be able to be lessened in the Graphics settings. For some, these can be not only annoying, but somewhat disorienting to gameplay. Same can also be said to those that become motion sick when playing games with an unstable camera, seizures over bright flashing lights, etc.

The complaints about the CC options puzzle me because women with visible facial hair and men wearing makeup (such as dark eyeliner) are pretty common IRL. So people acting like Bioware added something totally unconventional into the CC seems a bit silly.

I find this to be the case in several games that when you're just watching gameplay videos and not actually playing it yourself, the effects and gameplay in general feels more disorienting and messy than it actually is once you're the one playing. There's also the fact where if you take the recent youtuber videos as an example, they, and by extension the viewers, are dropped into a party that's already level 12 with the amount of talents and spells to match.

That's quite a lot of effects to get used to all at once, but when you've actually been playing the game from level 1 onward, there would've been a gradual increase in the skills used and effects seen, giving more time to get used to them and being able to clearly tell them apart.

I agree. It's also optional so complaining is pointless. It's not like anyone is forced to use it.

Serial complainers, we have some.

I agree with Jobac, I cast my mind back to my my raiding days when I'm required to watch boss fight vid's and I'm sitting thinking "What the....?  Just let me do the damn fight!  That's how I learn!".  Yes, I come out of it with a rough idea of what to expect, and that's the idea, but watching other people play just confuses me.

Do people really go back to read the OP of a 2440 page thread?

See those double arrows next to previous? That means that'll take you to the first page of the thread.

When the title of the thread says there's a link to new footage, I reckon it makes sense to read the OP instead of searching 2440 pages.
