I'm either going crazy or Bioware's representatives repeat themselves a lot because I swear I've heard this interview before. Then again, there's only so much you can say about one subject.
Most interviewers keep asking the same questions over and over.
SOON

40 days.... Sadly, I would like to have another good game to spend my time while I wait for DAI, but Unity comes only 1 week before... =/

Well, we'll see. I know it was a different team, but I was waiting for the moment where my heart would be wrenched out in ME3 with something involving my companions. Never really happened. Bioware likes to be dramatic about what's in their game a lot of the time.
I still enjoyed ME3, but it was a little disappointing in that regard.
I kinda thought the mass effect series was more darker and serious then dragon age, atleast up until DAI but I guess we will have to wait and see

I go for realism (huh fantasy !) a mage that can't heal at some level is a damn poor mage, potions more unreal
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
A ) Both easy-quick-heal mages and healing potions are inherently unrealistic.
B ) Focus is on making game more fun.

Someone's never played DnD arcane casters before.

True, but D&D also has Clerics, which seems to be covered here by all the other DA classes. And a Mage would be wise to research the possibility of a basic Healing spell, even if it were tied to varied Schools (eg; Creation, Necromancy, Primal, etc).
Pls do not misunderstand, as I loathe the idea of utilizing MMO trinity mechanics. I simply offer the notion that any Mage should consider investing in additional Healing magic no matter their background.

Magical healing potions... more unreal.... than magical healing spells.
Sure. Okay. ![]()

Anyone want to tweet Happy Thanksgiving to the devs? I hope they get a chance to spend it with their families. They deserve it, and it looks like they could use the break.
(Yep it's Thanksgiving here in Canada this weekend - we have it a month earlier than in the States.)

btw I'm not going to throw a strop, you lot know what you're doing. It's the stories I play for :-)
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
Thanks.
From our perspective, easy immediate healing always sorta broke lore, so this is a great step.

There was literally no benefit to letting Redcliffe fall, which is a little disappointing. I thought you'd be able to go straight into the castle, but no. You just leave the town, and come back the next day.
