I get what you mean, Elmo95, in that there were so many potential variations of our Warden that it'd be harder to include him/her in DAI as opposed to Hawke. I still think they could've worked it so that the Inquisitor could meet or at least just see our Warden (in reference to the quest objective shown earlier). I know it'd be easier to interact with Hawke both verbally and visually and have Hawke prancing around doing this and that because, well, Hawke can only be human, can only have one definite voice per gender, and can have that set 'personality' we chose for him/her in DA2. Also, unlike Hawke, our Warden could be dead, so if there'd be a big role for him/her in DAI, those who chose to sacrifice the Warden in DAO would be hugely missing out.
Since we know we can recreate Hawke's appearance for DAI, I don't think it would have taken too much to be given that privilege with our Warden too; they'd just have to allow us to recreate dwarves or elves as well. We can already do the latter for the Inquisitor, so I don't see why it'd be such a stretch to be allowed to do that with our Warden too. We can't hear our Warden speak, of course (I understand the difficulty with that), but I'd take just being able to see him/her.
All the above is probably moot anyway...so again, don't mind me...
