I'm... not as impressed by Knight Enchanter as I was expecting.

:/

I disagree. Based on the full context of screenshots and vids, one seems to be able to build a heavily armored melee design, light armor, or anything between. And one can choose as to the priority on weapon combat vs spells; a huge plus for me.

What I desire is a heavily armored Commander that uses spells primarily, but may enter melee if desired or is needed for that role.
I love the versatility of such options.

I love how you can disavow the Chantry if you're Dalish... :)

But then they were, "Yeah but it makes people feel safe so learn to live with it. Oh by the way we are going t o talk to the Chantry first to get them on side."

You, "Oh okay then." and you're still the Herald of Andraste going to talk to the Chantry for help.

Same here, I just had a more..."melee" oriented character in mind.

It looks too much like a normal mage who "occasionally" uses a melee attack.

I was expecting a decked out warrior looking guy who had magic based melee attacks and abilities while having a lightsaber type of energy blade out, rather then a quick "attack" that disappears after you use it.

Yeah, same here too.

Anyway, Cassandra and Josie both looks amazing. I was going to romance Cass because of Dawn of the Seeker (and because Sera wasn't available), but now I don't know anymore

Aw, I missed the whole thing, but it looks like it's already up? How long was it going on?

Did they say if you can control attacks with the mouse or if it's just auto-attack all the time?

So does anybody know if force magic is in the rift mage specialization? I loved that skill tree in DA2.

It was up for about an hour, and yes you can control attacks with the mouse.

We dont really know.

Theres a basic attack keybind we saw in the options.

But no conformation if its press to attack (hopefully not) or autoattack (hopefully).

We dont know about how it works on controller either yet. Unless its posted somewhere ive not seen.

Wait what are you asking? You can right click to issue an attack order like in Origins. But if you want to control the auto attack specifically there is a binding you can have.

I just loved how Cassandra calls you "Herald" basically immediatly after you say you don't like being called "Herald".

Just like "Well, f*** you i am going to call you that anyway!"

I mean control each attack like say, each sword hit by right clicking on the enemy multible times instead of right clicking on the enemy once and the auto-attack taking over after that.

Dragon Age: Inquisition - Emerald Graves Hands on

Hey, that's interesting - there were multiple YouTube preview events.

Most of the ones we've seen before were from LA, but this one was recorded in the UK.

I think another video posted a few days ago also mentioned that there were multiple American sessions, because two players had been to different ones.

That was awesome. I must admit, even if I remained silent, the youtuber videos with noobs playing made me worried about the combat. It looked so messy that I didn't even finish one of those videos lol. I was like, "  please, tell me that they really suck at this game T__T ! " It 's so much better when it's a dev showing the game. I was relieved with what was showed today. They also took the time to show and explain us many things while playing the game, which I really appreciated.

First  stream video gampleplay that I really appreciated. I also expected combat, combat, combat, combat, combat for 40 minutes, as usual, but there was little more than that, which was very cool. =)

I mean more the aesthetics and appearance rather than builds, the spirit blade attack just wasn't as epic and visually interesting as the description made it sound :)

I'm sure that for people who like to micromanage their character builds and damage output, KE will be really interesting and unique.

Exactly.  Screw the chantry...you want the rifts close? Burn all the sisters.

Perhaps this is somewhat based on which Staff element is in use currently?
