Well this sounds bad, why would auto attack be removed from basic third person combat? Not everyone likes to play these games as action games.

Auto attack was the main thing I liked about the combat of DA, and I've always been more of a fan of third person. Seems ridiculous to remove a defining trait of the series...ugh..

I'm also afraid to ask....but is there toggle walk on PC anymore? Hell, even hold to walk like the last two ME games. I'm a big fan of being immersed and sprinting around a city or non-hostile area is definitely not something I want to do. It's sad that devs often neglect PC gamers in this sense, players who use controllers can walk in any game they want yet PC gamers only get a select few. Hopefully DAI is one of them.......

I wouldn't worry. He said autoattack in TACTICAL view, which makes perfect sense. We've also seen plenty of player contol attacks. Mike does them in all the vids I've seen where he was playing(like showing the basic attacks of the different 2hands).

I doubt they would answer me that question, but i would like to know if the shorter execution time of advisors for certain operations will mean that that advisor is actually the best option.

For example:

*snip*

Probably not, it seems to mean that that advisor would simply be the one most quick to produce result (whether good or bad), sending the soldiers in to meet the Dalish would not be a particularly diplomatic resolution but it would be quickly done, whether it would be effective might be another matter entirely.

For example:

Operation to get Gold - Shorter for Josephine - makes sense, since she is good in trade and aquiring gold.

Operation to find an Author - Shorter for Leliana - makes sense, since she is good finding out secrets.

Operation to appease the Dalish - Shorter for Cullen - Makes no sense. The dalish are worried that you might be held by the inquisition against your will. Now Cullen wants to send down a group of soldiers swearing that i am totally not held against my will. I doubt they would believe that coming from armed forces.

I was wondering this exact same thing.

It would be the most direct approach. Thats what Cullens good at.

.

Yes, but his option litereally is the shortest. Leliana is doing stuff for them, Josie is looking for proper people to talk to. Those things take more time than just marching in and saying it.

I was wondering if Josephine might be better at using Diplomacy with Mages as a rule, seeing that both Cullen and Leliana were past reps for the Chantry.

THat's exactly what I'm worried about.

I want auto attack in all modes of combat, just like the past two Dragon Age games.
I'll likely play in Tactical Mode most of the time anyway, but I REALLY do not want to have to click every single time I want to strike an enemy, that would be horrible.

Player controlled attacks is exactly what I don't want to see. I don't want to see Mike clicking the mouse every time he wants to attack something, as someone who plays these games very slow and tactically, that would be obscenely tedious to have to manage each and every swing. Auto Attack is integral to this game and I don't see how it could be any bit tactical without it.

Could someone here fire off a tweet about Auto Attacking in third person, and maybe walking on PC. I would be very appreciative.

I'm almost 100% certain that auto-attack is toggle able and they simply had it toggled off for this demo. In normal play if you activate Spirit Blade then auto-attack an enemy your KE will keep magic blading the enemy, in 3rd person or tactical modes. They just wanted to show off maintaining control, so they disabled auto-attack.

We're at that magical time when things will start coming quickly one after another. It's a strange feeling for those who have been watching this game since there was almost nothing at all being shown. And I love it! Keep it coming, Bioware!  :D

Do we have an estimate for when that trailer might pop up tomorrow? I forget when past ones would show up.

Sweet Maker! :D  I was beginning to worry that we would not get any more trailers till the Launch trailer.  :D

But here is what I want from the trailer:

I want to see all the Inquisitors, both genders, at least the human, but all races could be cool.

I want to hear all four voice actors for the Inquisitor.  Saying epic and deep quotes of awesome deepness.  With great accompanying visuals.

I want to see the second best trailer ever, with the exeption of the launch trailer. :D With lots of action and good Inquisitor epicness.

If they want to give us the Hero of Thedas then GIVE US THE HERO OF THEDAS.
