Male was definately the dominant recognizable form of inquizzie but I think both types are in there? (I could be wrong, thought I saw a female Inquizzie in there) Just hard to tell with all that huge bulky warrior armour and the unflattering faceplate head piece and none of the people speaking are the inquisitor from what I could tell - Vivienne, Solas, Cole and The Elder one I think? And that person that gets eaten by the dragon is a grey warden.

 

EDIT: I'm incorrect on the Inquizzie not speaking, he says clearly "Time to believe in this one."

Yeah we just had a livestream monday where they exclusively used female inquisitors.

 

I would love a pick your Inquisitor trailer where they showed all the genders/races but we still got another month for that to show up.

I remember the main criticism of the femShep trailer being the fact that it took till the 3rd game of the trillogy before BW acknowledged her existence whatsoever rather then it being bad

 

That, plus the fact that she wasn't really used in any other promo material. There was the femShep trailer and the flippable case cover, but nothing else: all ads and promotional banners on websites etc. were all guyShep.

 

But I guess we'll see what'll be the case with DA:I.

To be fair a switch up wouldn't hurt.

 

Especially since in the one dedicated female trailer we had it focused more on the companions and you had a blink and you'll miss it shot of her near the end.

 

That said this trailer is done with. Might as well hope for a "Choose Your Inquisitor." trailer that shows everyone. Hopefully doing kickass things.

 

(Hopefully with a troll scene where everyone can put on the iconic helmet except Qunari for lulz).

Honestly? I wouldn't give a crap. Whoever that character is, is a placeholder for the character I'm going to be creating.

But I understand to an extent where you're coming from, but you do realize that the promotional demos in major game cons were female characters, and the female inquisitor got a trailer of her own. Seriously though, there's nothing to complain about in that regard, Bioware has been fair in representing female characters in DA:I more than any game every could. Also it's worth noting that there was a female inquisitor in that trailer. I still think they should've used multiple races but I won't nitpick on that.

After re watching it a lot it shows all the different classes for the DAI and also shows the dragon picking up solas with his mouth and flying off. Also from paying attention to all the videos as to where the maker has vanished yet some think the maker goes through you. I think I know where this game is going it should be interesting depending on what happens during the event when you go to the meeting because we don't see that there is one big piece of the puzzle missing.

First that is rather transphobic second there is not even the same amount of focus in the recent main trailers, even the one that I really liked, that was the enemy of Thedas was done with the male inquisitor. What is the point to say "I want to see what type of hero you make?" and than shows only the default male one.

Just pointing it here, but the image used as promotional poster for the game has a uni-sex inquisitor. Sad that they'd leave out some players out there...but if you put a girl-quisitor then guys won't be happy and if you put a guy-quisitor then girls won't be happy. Everybody owns this game and its characters as much as the next person.

I hate to say it but this trailer kind of lacked the punch of any of the last few. I feel like I didn't really get to see anything new.

It's remarkable how much people will  complain about a trailer not showing their desired gender. 

Give it a rest already, you and everyone else here know you can play as a female. Them showing off men in the trailers(which isn't even fully accurate, there has been plenty of female footage) will NOT have any affect on your enjoyment of the game. 

 

Quit complaining and enjoy the trailer for what it offered, not the gender of the inquisitor shown...

You mean that 1 trailer from months ago that centered mostly around the companions with the female inquisitor only appearing for about 10 seconds at the very end
