So what did you guys think of the new trailer?

There's a talk on Vallaslin today? Sweet.
All Inquisitors in the trailer were male - not cool BW...
About this "next world" I think it's linked to the Rift. Maybe the breach in the Veil is causing the two worlds to merge...or then people can just "walk" into the Fade. Pretty blasphemous if you're Andrastean
Trailer itself was meh, nothing but a cluster **** of 2 second clips mashed together with some Overly dramatic Music & Narration to make it feel "Epic".
Never gave a hoot about them but whatever.
As for the Default Male inquisitor in the trailer? It's the one the EA marketing team chose to promote their game. They feel He will appeal to most of the potential new players, Deal with it. They have all the marketing & Demographic data at their disposal. Not to mention decades of experience & MILLIONS of dollars to effectively market the game.
They know what they are doing, you don't.
Like anyone here can tell a MULTI BILLION DOLLAR corporation how they should market a game. Ridiculous.
new trailer was kind of underwhelming..........

I really enjoyed seeing it and thanks for releasing the Hero of Thedas today!!
I know I've heard that music somewhere before. Eithera trailer for ME3 or 300: roae, I think.
It reminded me of this song.
I honestly think this trailer was a "let-down" because we're all so familiar with the superficial aspects of the game that the only thing that could excite us is more spoilers.
It wasn't the best trailer, but one can watch so many previews before they get bored of them and want the real thing.

I read this as Vaseline. I was confused.
The possibilities of roleplaying a powerful villanous necromancer who will rival the Elder one in arrogance and cruelty is looking slimmer and slimmer.
This trailer has changed my biggest fear of DA:I to being pigeonholed into a hero-archetype regardless of morality, ambition and methods. I really, really hope I am wrong. Im absolutely terrified atm that roleplaying a nihilistic and villanous character will be heavily restricted and that even playing an antihero or byronic hero will be a challenge.
I can only hope I am wrong. This is a dark fantasy RPG universe, having that option is important to me ![]()

So, as the healer build is gone, is there a way to create another kind of mage supporter/booster build? That's my go-to role.
Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
Focusing in the Spirit tree offers a lot of support. Most of my mages go Spirit plus one other tree, plus specialization later.

Even DA:O wasn't great at making you play a villainous character. I mean sure, you could be a complete jerk and kill people, but it didn't really affect the story. You still killed the Archdemon and became the Hero of Ferelden. DA2 was the only game you could be an evil bastard and it actually make sense.

How did you get all that from the trailer?
Whether you like it or not, your character will still be on the path of a "hero". IE: saving the world.
I'm certain BioWare will allow us to be as douchey as we want to be.

If you signed the NDA starting Friday (Oct 10) until now, you have access to the Keep! Make sure to tell us what you think!

The Inquisitors left hand is green,Derewolf Hollan @Derek_Hollan
Finish this poem:
Dragon Age is Red,
Mass Effect is Blue,
Does anyone know how many ability trees we can actually fill out?
Like if I'm an Archer/Assassin can I fill both trees completely then start delving into a third, such as Sabotage? Or can we eventually fill out those three?
(I didn't know if anyone had a general idea yet or not.)
There is no hard level cap in this game, so you can gain as many levels as you can find experience. In theory you can keep leveling and getting skill points but eventually you will run out of things to give you exp.
Uhm yeah, watched the trailer and paused the heck out of it; my concern is that at 1:29 the Dragon looked like it ate Solas. What.
