The DA:I forum have now beaten the DA:O forum in reply numbers.
DA:O was released in 2009 giving it approximately 5 years advantage on Inquisition.
DA:O copies sold by 2010: 3.2 million
If the reply numbers is an indicator of popularity, DA:I will sell 15 million copies. That is ofcourse based on many probably false assumptions and factors on my part. But even if this indicator is only half right, 7+ million copies could be expected sold the first year. However...
Since Skyrim sent the RPG fantasy genre to the next level, assimilating tons of new players to the genre - we can expect people that loved Skyrim to also find an interest in Inquisition. However negative feelz for DA:2 and ME:3 ending taken into account - offsets this some. Then again, the marketing and word of mouth in this age of social media should not be ignored. So my final sale prediction is:
8.7-9.2 million copies sold the first year.
For a comparison - Skyrim has sold 20 million copies total:

So let it be.
(Is 8.7 million copies in a year good?)
So guys can anybody tell me if we'll be able to purchase deluxe edition with all the bonus items after the game launches? Final parts for my new PC arrive after the launch and I don't want to pre-order the game if I can avoid it.
I apologize if I posted this in the wrong thread.
I don't mean to rain on the sales numbers parade, but Skyrim, on top of being a really good game even on the bawked PS3 version (which I played, and loved) had an absolutely fantastic marketing campaign. There were ads for it *everywhere*. You couldn't escape them. I've yet to see a single ad for DA:I in the wild.

The Deluxe Edition DLC should be available for purchase separately, yes. Not sure about the Flames of the Inquisition gear though.

Thank you, but can somebody perhaps ask the devs on twitter?
So let it be.

Depends on production cost. But I think the chance of a dev telling us the approximate number is slim to none
I dont know the reasoning behind it if true - but I think alot of devs wants production cost to be secret.

Eh, the only social media I use (begrudgingly) is facebook.
Thanks anyway.

Could just sign up, get your answer, then get off. No one would have to know!
I actually have a google docs page with my 8 'planned' playthroughs for DA:I with the type of inquisitor I'll be playing as and their party.
Should be view-able, for those interested: https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing
No shame!
