Was updating my site's gaming deals page and ran across a cool promo at Game Stop - you can get 15% off downloadable pre-orders like the PC download of Inquisition. I verified it by adding the PC download to the cart then adding the promo - it says it doesn't charge until it's available for download which is 9am on the 18th (for NA). Maybe that'll help someone who hasn't gotten their pre-order in yet

I'm struggling to see what the actual difference is between 'Public beta' and 'launched' as they both work the same.

Open Beta means that it is not fully polished. Bugs can be expected and all the bells and whistles might not be added yet. Fully launched means that the team has said it's good to go, there should be no bugs and all the bells and whistles should be there and work.

 

I know that recently in the game world there has been a thin line between open beta and a launched product, with games needing a day one patch and sometimes 12 months worth of patching before they work the way they are meant to. This should not be the case though.

Slightly OT, but I just realised that PAX Australia starts on the same day my thesis is due....crap.

Well at least I don't have Inquisition judging me from the wall going "you want to play me" while madly trying to get my thesis done now.

Seriously cannot wait for this month to be over and to be slightly closer to the release date of this game. A well earned break I'd say!

The armor looks great but it seems a bit of for a tank class to be wearing Cloth or leather armor even if it's just the leggings.
