Had a Q. Playing through DAO and DA2 for DAI. Story-wise, when is the best time to play Legacy and Mark of the Assassin?

Atm I'm getting a good back and forth with Mike about my misgivings about having to remember all of over 300 choices I made four years ago. He's certainly good about replying quickly.

So schmooples isn't in the keep, nor do they have plans to add it anytime soon; yet we saw a nug at the war table not far from Leliana in the lithographs they sent out. Do we have an option of getting a nug as a pet of our own, or has shmooples become canon?

Same here. Lucky for me, I have an outline saved of all my characters in both games and tagged which ones are connected.

If you played the game 4 years ago last then you probably aren't too attached to your characters. Just upload their info and faces, then pick the tiles that you most likely had chosen for them.

You can always use the DA2 char creator to import the DAO world states to get an idea of your characters choices. Or you can load the last DAO save and watch the epilogues.

Alternatively a mod called Gibbed Save Editor can be used to check your choices in DAO.

I actually just created 5 new worlds based on trying to get a wide variety of different options (side with mages in some, templars in others, Loghain lives in 1, Anora is solo queen in one, different romances, etc) and based loosely on several of my many (keep says 10, but it might be missing a few lol) playthroughs. I wanted to make a 'sh*t hit the fan' playthrough (No helping Redcliffe, demons possess everyone, torch the ashes) but I could never see any of my characters actually being that pointlessly evil (some of those choices can make sense, but a worst possible world state doesn't).
