If we just see an area that has clouds, sunshine, rain and snow and then they show how you can change someone's hair style, I'm going to be very stone faced and say "What else you got?"

Shiny graphics won't blow me away. In the least.
I don't need plot, locations or companions, but I am going to need to see pretty detailed combat demonstrations, detailed speech mechanisms, detailed inventory proof of concepts and things like ambient interactions or world reactivity.

Showing one area with shiny graphics is enough to blow people away. They don't have to detail the entire plot, companions, place we get to visit, etc to achieve that.

Really, in the end a game reveal doesn't show more than the core of a game and I don't expect anything more than that at E3.

Who said they did? Arguing the extreme doesn't make for a good discussion.azarhal wrote...

Except they've been saying for months that the reveal is going to be substantive and will blow us away. A standard reveal isn't that. And quite frankly, whether you agree or not, BioWare has something to prove. DA2 was not received very well and ME3 caused a massive ****storm. Inquisition has to deliver the goods.

I thought this thread was to record staff tweets? You can create other threads to discuss topic you think relate to the game that are not twitter related. It'd be a shame to close this if it remains off topic.

From the tweets, it's now clearer than ever that the game is absolutely not coming out in 2013. Seeing as it's using Frostbite 3, it's a next-gen game. And we all know that when gens at first start out, the amount of possible customers is rather limited, especially for a series such as Dragon Age that has taken a tumble in its brand image. They do need the refresh that a new generation allows, but they also need a significant possible buying audience.
I'm guessing BioWare will wait until 2014 when more people have next-gen consoles. (This is what I get from the tweets Chris, so not off topic!)

The best guess any one of us can gather is that DA3 is still due for 2013. There's absolutely nothing going against that assumption.

That's not true. The tie-in novel set before the events of Inquisition doesn't come out until next year and the fact that the game is still under wraps with just some information coming at the reveal at E3 points to the possibility of a 2014 release IMO. Yes, they say it's still slated for 2013. But to say there's no reason at all to think otherwise doesn't jive if you look at what we know objectively.

Sure, if you want to question the statements given to you than SURE we can all insinuate that DA3 MIGHT be pushed to 2014.
I like to believe the facts and the dev statements. I won't be suprised if DA3 is delayed until 2014, but right now there's really nothing substancial to suggest that.
