that is not quite how it works when you choose the option helmets are either always on or off in conversation regardless of where you are.  If I just finished a fight and a cinematic convo comes on I want the option for my helm to stay on then but if I'm walking around say Lowtown and a conversation begins then hide my helm.

Pretty sure he said in the last stream that helmets were off in cinematics but on outside cinematics if you choose to keep your helmet on. It's default off always during cinematics (iirc from what Mike Laidlawsaid)

Was hoping to use the longbow, but I was hoping the arrows would burn; not my hands. Likely the Staff and 2H sword then.

 

One assumes the glowy effect itself isn't actually fire or hot as that would be really stupid.  Therefore it seems easy to conclude that it is just the visual element of the magical effect that results in the arrows doing fire damage once loosed.  Obviously.
