Yeah. Generic is the word. This could easily have been the soundtrack of Game of Thrones, or the Witcher, or the Lord of the Rings, or any of a plethora of fantasy settings across the various media. There isn't anything that I heard yet to differentiate it from the rest of what is thought of as "appropriate" for genre fantasy. And that is something that could not be said of Inon Zur's work.
I mostly agree with this. I certainly feel that much of the DA:I music so far has been pretty generic - not bad by any means and perfectly appropriate for the setting, but a little lacking in inspiration and character - but I do like that "Redcliff" piece.
Zur's music, while maybe not quite so "epic" or technically good, had much more distinctiveness and character.
I really don't get how people are calling Morris' stuff generic in relation t Zur's. I mean, yeah, in a lot of ways the DA:I music is generic. I don't think it has the distinctiveness that, say, MEs, had. But Zur's OSTs were also massively generic. They didn't really sound any less like something you'd hear in LotR movies than DA:I's.

Is there going to be a trailer or anything today? The last couple Tuesdays have done so and there's that trailer we got a tease with.
Chances are the next proper trailer will be at the Weekend (PAX Aus), but we might get another 'Companions' trailer in the meantime.

That would make me happy, actually. I was disappointed we only had 4 featured, some of which were the same companions in the other companion trailer.

I think we should ignore any future "Dragon Age soundtracks" from that YouTube account then, given that they're just posting Trevor Morris' old music and claiming it as part of the official Inquisition OST.

If you read the description of those videos it says: "... I made a compilation of his past work that I think could work well in the Dragon Age universe, and give us a basic idea of what his score for the Dragon Age Inquisition soundtrack may sound like. Music by Trevor Morris from: The Tudors, The Vikings, The Borgias, The Pillars of Earth, Olympus Has Fallen etc."
So clearly the title of the video is made to mislead the people and get more views

But not all of it is old stuff. I've heard some of the legitimate tracks they have used in trailers and the opening menu theme from Agent Sambora.
