Really? I didnt know that happened. I must have missed it.

This panel is interesting. So much work and careful detail has gone into this game. I also doubt we'll hear anything new.

It's worth posting again though, since a there are people who missed it.

Hmm...so thinking back off the top of my head...does that mean we've seen all the major areas pre-release?

Mke's favorite team to take out:

Bull, Cass, and Sera.

Bull has respect for Cass warrior side, and Bull and Sera like to poke at each other.

Other developers mention Cass, Bull, Sera, too. Varric and Cass relationship mentioned too.

Dorian/Vivienne was mentioned and was described as "two sides of the same coin." They're both "snooty.

The Emerald Graves, The Exalted Plains, Empris du Lion, The western approach, The hinterlands, Storm coast, The Fallow Mire, Crestwood Hills, and Therinfal are the one mentioned, I think. Assuming Halamshiral, Val-Royeaux and Skyhold aren't in their count, we miss one area.

Remember that the areas are massive. if you remember that stream awhile back in the hinterlands, they ended up going to a huge abandoned underground dwarven city. it looked like an area all in itself

The Fade

I don't think the fade is part of the ten area , I remember an interview where a dev said the fade was a story driven place.

And they just said at Pax Australia , there's 10 regions + story driven place on top.

I think places like Skyhold , haven , the fade , Val Royeaux etc...are part of those story place.

They are probably going to be smaller with less "open world" activities.

 

Anyway about the 10 region I think you can guess them all by watching one of the last stream showing the war table .

I think there's like 4 in Ferelden and 6 in Orlais.

I guess that's true. Still would have liked some more surprises about where we're going, though. Even the ones we haven't seen very in-depth yet we've kind of gotten the gist of the location, basic look and geography, etc.

Unless I'm missing something, we have no indication Therinfal is an open world area. We only know Therinfal Redoubt is a former Seeker fortress and if I were to guess it would be somewhere in Crestwood.

 

The Hissing Wastes is another deset area in Orlais, north of the Western Approach. We've seen it a bit in the "Crafting and Customization" trailer (at 1:42).

 

At Pax Prime in 2013 one of the saves in the loading screen was in the Nahashin Marshes, which would also be in Orlais. But that was a long time ago, it might have changed and become the Fallow Mire or it could be a smaller mission/dungeon type area.
