12 Things to Do in 6 Hours of Dragon Age: Inquisition

http://www.dragonage...age-inquisition

twelve-things-to-do-header.jpg

Are you ready to lead the Inquisition? Beginning November 13, EA Access members will be able to download a trial of Dragon Age: Inquisition on Xbox One and experience six hours of gameplay before the full game releases on November 18. Best of all, your progress will carry over!

In an effort to help you get the most out of your six hour trial period, we've put together a list of twelve things possible to do during that time. Are you up for the challenge?

1.     Create your Inquisitor. The game begins with the creation of your Inquisitor. Personalize your hero's race, class, and appearance. There's trillions of character possibilities!

1-create-inquisitor.jpg

2.     Witness the blast that tears a giant hole in the sky. Dragon Age: Inquisition's story kicks off with a bang. You'll get no spoilers from us!

2-witness-the-blast.jpg

3.     Form the Inquisition with Cassandra and Leliana. Every journey begins with the first step. See the Inquisition at the point of its humble beginning.

3-form-the-inquisition.jpg

4.     Discover the Hinterlands. The Hinterlands is a massive area in the world of Thedas, ripe for exploration. With the war between templars and mages at a fever pitch, watch your step. You might get caught in the crossfire.

4-discover-hinterlands.jpg

5.     Explore a cave. Treasures are rarely hidden in plain sight. What secrets will you uncover by venturing underground?

5-explore-cave.jpg

6.     Experience real-time and tactical combat. How you choose to engage in combat is entirely up to you. Jump into battle and start crushing your enemies with real-time combat, or pause the game to survey your enemies and surrounding environment and issue commands to your party before resuming play.

6-experience-real-time.jpg

7.     Fight a dragon. Dragons are the apex predators of Thedas and will surely rank among the toughest battles you'll face. Make sure you're well stocked on supplies before engaging this massive creature.

7-fight-a-dragon.jpg

8.     Meet a trio of followers. As the Inquisition's reputation grows, you'll discover characters throughout your travels who want to join the Inquisition and fight by your side. During the early stages of your adventure, you'll have the opportunity to get acquainted with Cassandra, Varric, and Solas.

8-meet-a-trio.jpg

9.     Use the war table. The Inquisition's war table is a powerful asset. Issue commands to your agents all over Thedas and complete missions that will aid in the advancement of the Inquisition.

9-use-wartable.jpg

10.  Close a Fade rift. The Inquisitor has a mysterious power, one that grants the ability to close tears in the Fade and stop the demon assault.

10-close-a-fade-rift.jpg

11.  Experiment with crafting. As you gather schematics, recipes, and materials, you can put them to good use by crafting upgrades for your gear—or entirely new gear. Upgrade your armor, create a sword with elemental properties, or just stockpile healing potions.

11-experiment-with-crafting.jpg

12.  Try out multiplayer mode. Band together with other players over Xbox Live and test your luck completing a dungeon. Can you work as a team? You'll need to in order to survive these punishing missions.

I should stop coming to the forums not because of spoilers, but because seeing all these awesome vide and pics are sending me into a depression over not being able to play.

I love that they use this picture despite the fact it's practically entirely inaccurate at this point. :P. Cullen no longer has a skirt, Josephine's bun has been lowered and that is soooooo not the casual Skyhold outfit anymore. It's both funny and sad!

see the hands/wrists, when the pc is kneeling? I thought that rope-y looking thing was part of her out fit at first. but it looks like we are bound. lol!

and apparently when the game begins we are pariah. lol! that one lady screamed when she saw us.

i'm loving this. omg.  15 days. finally.

*sigh*

Anyone know the right people to tweet to find out if/when the deluxe items can be bought as separate DLC?  The PC version of the Inquisitor Edition comes with the standard game in Europe/UK and I want to know if I can get that stuff without buying the game again.  Anyone got standard (or I guess deluxe) DAI in Origin and can see if those items can be purchased separately?  I've tweeted Laidlaw, Lee and Darrah with no results so far, but someone else said they got a response (not sure who from) saying it was a question for retail to answer - but who would that be?

I'd like to know the answer to this and I know I'm not the only one, and this is the busiest and so best place around to ask in.

So....  Who's gonna pay $4.99 to get six hours?  I don't get it.  Especially when most of that time will be spent in the character creator?

The Montreal DA:I devs are really eager to meet you and sign your copy. We'll be at the Les Ailes EB Games on Nov 18, 10AM-4PM with goodies!

That's the one I've pre-ordered at - it's two blocks from my workplace.  I was going to pick up my copy at 9am when the store opened - midnight launches are illegal in Quebec except for video stores - but now it looks like I'll be going at 10am instead :P

(Almost left this thread to avoid story spoilers - I haven't clicked on anything clickable here in 24 hours except the "quote" button. But it's things like this that keep me coming back.)

Why is it even possible to have a non-god baby with Morrigan? That seems odd. Didn't know where to put it so I just put it here. If anyone knows why could you please inform me.

Male Warden Romances Morrigan, sleeps with her, then refuses the Dark Ritual.  She gets pregnant anyways (by accident).

Well, when a man and a woman really love each other...

In all seriousness, if you romance Morrigan but don't do the Dark Ritual, she is still pregnant with the Warden's child, just didn't know about it when the Dark Ritual was offered.

aww, that reminds me of that one vid where that lil inquisitor was innocently prancing abt collecting herbs. It was so sweet, but i had a bad feeling.

Then bam friggin dragon! fireball to the face. party is dead. run rabbit! run.

lol! but yeah, I like collecting and looting, too. But I'm gonna be keeping an eye to the sky.....geez.

I did! Lol, but it's not just that you get some of the older games on the ea library that you can play for free, also you join access and you get 10% off any ea game you buy.

The crucial thing is that we looted SO MANY POTS. Like, all the pots.

You get the six hours and 10% discount on purchase so you won't be losing anything.

I guess it's not a Bioware thing. Maybe EA. On PSN I could see the game and some of the extra content are separated, but I'm not sure if it's the Deluxe content or only the pre-order bonus. Most of the time I saw people asking the devs, they just didn't know the answer.

Well, Thedas is screwed.

My Inquisitors will loot all the things, decorate the Skyhold for hours, chat with companions as much as possible and chase butterflies while Thedas is engulfed by demons

Patrick Weekes ‏@PatrickWeekes

So I got Arl Eamon's father's name wrong in a codex. Old name already existed. We've decided Arl Eamon had two dads.

Patrick Weekes ‏@PatrickWeekeso

In case you were wondering, am now impersonating Arl Eamon as JFK from Clone High.

Patrick Weekes ‏@PatrickWeekes

Guys, we COULD patch it... OR we could just give Arl Eamon gay dads. I know which one I'M going with.

I am against this. It goes against the Dragon Age lore.
